We have a winner. Thank God, common sense from a Bama fan. And I just thought just the LSU rantards were unreasonable.

Star Jackson is gonna be a baller.

Thank you Jimmy the leg. I believe Star is gonna be great too. McElroy is a senior so I'm just trying to look ahead.

McElroy is 16th nationally in Passing Efficiency at a rating of 161.66

Joe Cox 165.49
Tebow 170.45
Mallett 193.49

are the SEC QB's ranked ahead of him.

But according to people hear he was going to suck because he did not have any experience.

McElroy is a winner. He will leave Bama with two SEC Championship rings.

Yeah but could he do that against UL-M?

Gee, I don't know. La-Monroe's defense is not much worse than LSU's at this point in the season.

That's a good question.

I don't wanna get into all this OMG MACELLLROYYY IS THE BEST QB EVARRR debate, but you gotta at least realize his pick against VT was a tipped pass by a big arse lineman. Yeah, the ball was probably low, but it was like he threw it into the arms of a defender.

McElroy does exactly what I said before the season.... he checks down. Something JPW almost never did. McElroy is getting the ball to the open guy, no matter who it is. He doesn't "lock on" to a D.J. Hall or a Julio Jones.

What this does, aside from getting completions and yardage, is it gets the most out of every one of your receivers, because they believe that on EVERY play, they have a chance of getting the ball, so they'll work harder, run crisp routes.

McElroy is accurate, he'll stay in the pocket and take a hit in order to deliver a strike, and he's shown so far that he knows when to tuck it. Very smart guy. Extremely please to have him as QB for two years. Hope he can stay healthy.

Greg has done a great job thus far. The acid test starts next week against SEC teams. Against VT he was solid the only real test he's had. Cup Cake Games is no true indicator. At this stage until proven otherwise he is more then capable. The Boy has an arm

One thing that always impressed me about JP was his toughness and attitude. the guy always came back after big hits and never complained. I wanna see Gmac get hit in the mouth in an sec game a few times and see how he responds before I'l say he's an upgrade over JP. However, from a pure passing mechanics point, he is definately an upgrade, thought that's really not saying much. Jarrett Lee is a better "passer" than Jefferson, but not necessarily a better choice at qb overall.

I think he has looked better than JJ thus far. At least he can throw it down the field and not miss receivers.
