I just don’t understand opt outs. Who wouldn’t want to play in a big bowl game? It’s crazy. Do you know how many high school football players that never make it to play college would kill for that opportunity? And they just piss it away like it’s nothing. And ruin it for the fans that supported them

Well I can understand if a kid has an nfl future ahead after this year. No since in risking injury in a meaningless game. But it does water down the bowls no doubt.

We were missing 9 starters in our bowl last year, and Burks opted out the previous year, but I can’t blame him because he played with a gimpy ankle most of the season and he was going pro. We won both games though.

When we played ohio st in the sugar bowl they played 3 players, their best offensive players, who should have been suspended and chose to suspend them the next year when those players would be gone. That’s how bad they were afraid of losing.

Now their line of thinking has completely changed. I guess they ain’t scared.

Any team that doesn't make the playoffs treats the bowl game as a way to get younger guys more reps to prepare them for the future as starters. When you look at it like that it's not so bad. (Unless you lose badly meaning your future sucks lol)

If we cared about winning this game as much as y'all do, it wouldn't even be interesting.

BS.

You are vastly underestimating how good this Missouri team is. Kirby Smart admitted that they were looking ahead at Missouri during the bye week leading up to their biggest rivalry game (Florida).

If Kirby Smart is worried about Mizzou, then you should be too. But of course, you don't care about this game. Any stance you take that makes you sound exactly like Arkansas fans is one you should reconsider.

We'll see, I suppose.

Most or all of your players would be backups at best on our roster. Since you'll be playing our backups, here's their chance to prove they could be second string at Ohio State.

That shots on Ryan Day, and how he runs his
Program vs Drink. I don’t like either one of them. But I’ll respect the guy that can get his players to stay for a bowl game. There’s another transfer window

We lost our entire offensive staff the week of our bowl game against Texas (ef u Heupel) and lost. Nobody remembers that.

Then the last 3 bowl loses to Wake Forest, Ok St and Army we were missing half our time and on backup QBs. Nobody cares, just that we lost.

If we play and bear Ohio states walk ons they can eat it. There is nothing in the record book but a loss.

No wonder Ohio State doesn't give a shite about this game.

You all lost to ku with a backup QB. Yeah THAT ku, you know the one who didn't win a conference game for like a decade.

If we would have had a 12 team playoff a lot of those kids would still be there

The portal should not open until after bowl season.

They should also do away with the early signing day

An OSU starting QB hitting the portal? Someone is going to snatch him up, and the kid is going to get paid.

I'd really like to see Julian Fleming at Bama. Very talented WR. He was a 4.35 type of runner. He just had some bad injury luck early and got lost in the mix behind some Round 1 type talent as an upper classman.

Makes sense, to get his dollars up he needs to be on a team getting CFP exposure
