We win by 3 tds at least....they can't stop the run. And they sure can't score points when we are running out the clock with the run....and Mathieu, Reid, Taylor and Simon scoff at the notion that they can't contain their WR's. Our DL will pressure their QB and I expect atleast 3 interceptions thrown by Wilson. They are screwed....their weaknessess fall into our strengths. Once again...keep living in the past folks. this year we aren't just the better team, no one is in even close to us. Just ask OU, WV, FL, TN, AU... and now Bama (cause if i recall, many folks thought Bama would blow us out )

This isn't your typical 10-2 LSU team either.

Yeah...more like 11-1

Nutt still hasn't pulled out his big one yet, so watch out

I just think we match up very well with Arkansas. They are weak against the run, their o-line isn't nearly as good as it has been in years past, and they've played terrible on the road this year.

All that combined makes me think the game isn't in doubt in the 4th quarter.

Well, as long as Hatcher doesn't see the field much.

Well, what makes me feel great is that has been my prediction for pretty much every team we have played this year and they usually surpass that number ;-) You should just go ahead and accept your fate

We're ALWAYS the better team, yet lose to them half the time becuase our seaon's done and we're looking at bowls and championships.

Meanwhile, they're trying to prove themselves and usually in a must-win situation
I believe there's is more truth to this than many would admit, esp the little hoggies.

I do hope Miles and Company take this one very seriously. It seems like under Miles our games against R kansas are afterthoughts. He needs to focus on them like he does on Bama and Florida.

Has it right. LSU will dominate the trenches.

Arky cant stop the run for shite. LSU will have ~250 on the ground between 7 rushers.
Arky cant pass protect worth a damn. LSU's 4 man rush will get to Wilson. Wilson will probably throw about 3 TDs and 3 INTs.

41-24 ish

You do realize when we played Bama we had no running game and three key players out. Two of them are back now and our running game is getting stronger every week. We scored 2 td's on Bama. LSU scored none. We will see.

A top 10 team with only one loss (to a top 5 team) who has a recent history of beating you? Yeah. I wouldn't worry about that shite either.....

Some Bama(and LSU, to be fair) fans before the game were saying they weren't worried about LSU(Or Bama).
A top 1 team who has a recent history of beating you.

Morons exist in every fan base.

this makes sense. I was thinking a game against a powerful offense and less than stout defense could turn out just like WVU and Oregon, 40ish to 20ish. We would need to control the ball on the ground and keep the hands out of their playmakers. It will be up to our offense to make the difference eating up the clock and not turning it over, like we've been doing most of the season.

Man, have you watched the last 4 LSU/Arky games? Do you think Arky DOESN'T WANT to be in the SECCG? It's not like Arky won't have anything to play for.

You'd better be worried about them.

There's absolutely no reason LSU should lose our game. You guys have already said it. We haven't been good against the run, our running game has struggled, our OL has been marginal at best, and we're playing on the road.

Have stranger things happened? Sure. But I don't see it happening this year. It's LSU's year, again.

With that said, Arkansas has changed quite a bit since the Bama game:

Dennis Johnson is actually playing. If anyone watches Arkansas play and thinks that he isn't 10x's the running back that Ronnie Wingo or Broderick Green are, they're high. He's caught a case of the fumblitis here lately, though. Still, he's had great success against LSU before.

Defensive line is healthier. Bequette didn't even play against Bama. The other starting DE (T Wright) got hurt early and is expected back this week, I believe. So we've been playing a DT at DE sparingly as well as a true freshman and a SO speed rush specialist at DE. It's really no surprise that we haven't been able to stop the run without those 2 guys. Their replacements are inexperienced at the position and/or undersized.

OL has gotten better. Still, by no means, are they a great group. But the true freshman hasn't seen the field in at least a month. They've started opening up some running lanes. Wilson isn't getting popped in the mouth AS MUCH. One thing they did against USC was roll the pocket. I think you'll see that against LSU too to buy Tyler more time.

Emergence of the TE. Chris Gragg was relatively quiet for the first half of the season. But he's become Tyler Wilson's 2nd or 3rd favorite target. Not a huge deal, but gives linebackers and defensive coordinators something to think about before blitzing.

Like I said, I don't think Arkansas will waltz into Baton Rouge and beat LSU. LSU is the class of college football this year. But you're fooling yourself if you think Arkansas is the same team that played Bama. Just hope we're the same, sleepy, shitty road team that played in Vandy/Ole Miss.

IMO, I don't really think we'll win, but this is Ark/LSU. Anything can happen!
