LSUs offense is probably better than 2011 but they are much worse in every other facet. Defense isn't bad but that 2011 defense was one of the all time greats.

everything I think says Clemson would come out on top vs the other 3. Probably how they made the rankings.

I don't even think it would have been the same final four. This is basically a throw away since most all teams play each other down the stretch....this first release was a lot to do about nothing...seriously. People getting worked up over it are funny.

come on man. This offense is light years ahead of that offense, especially when Jordan Jefferson took the starting role back over. LSU has a great OL, better than 2011, the QB is much better than JJ, and the WR's are all future 1st and 2nd round picks. RR was a good WR.....but quite honestly, I don't think he had near the explosiveness of Dupree. JMO

This LSU team is probably on par with their '11 team, so who knows.
No it isn't. The 2011 LSU (and Bama) teams are probably top ten all time in CFB at worst.

[The LSU '11 team] beat the ACC, BIG 10 and Pac 12 champion in the regular season if I remember correctly. Don't forget, they also beat the National Champions in their home.
not quite .. but still impressive
Their non conference schedule in 2011 was as follows:
Oregon (Pac 12 champs)
Northwestern State
West Virginia (3-way tie for Big East champions)
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
edit: reeled in the douchiness

Huh, you really think Clemson could pull it off?
And I know who you're a fan of so this may be a stupid question, but in your gut feeling, who wins: LSU or Clemson?
LSU would narrowly win against Clemson. But I still think Florida may surprise some people before it's over.

Would love to play Clemson. They are always over hyped.
Beating an always over-hyped Notre Dame team is not that great of an accomplishment.
I see FSU beating them this week.

Clem is actually typically underhyped. For example last 4 years Clem was ranked higher at end of the season that in the preseason. That can't happen if overhyped.
Clemson never been overhyped because they are in the ACC and not FSU.
it is amusing Bama is talking about how Clemson is always overhyped given Bama's hype is why they are in top 4 right now because they aren't deserving of it at this point. Knock Clemson's win against ND but AL's best win is against Texas AM and lost at home to no. 19? Clemson would beat Ole Miss easily, I think. They don't have a good run game.
People have predicted Clemson would lose basically every week this year, including against 'overhyped' ND. Odds are you will be right at some point due to law of averages but it isn't really analysis.
I don't see how both LSU and Alabama could make the playoffs. I think it will be one or the other.

Ohio State was overhyped last year. Why you poop the bed in that one?
