If we are going by the LIFO principle, then clearly UF gets the boot if Moo State replaces anyone. UF wasn't even on the radar of the big 6 under the 90s.

Exactly, you can't kick out a charter member of the big 6. Before TN goes, UF or UGA should go.

But again, Mississippi State isn't gonna win the NC , so it's a moot point.

I lived in Atl when I created the username, TD won't let me change it.

Living there showed me that the SEC championship game is an easy ticket to buy on the street, and that when UGA is in it, they'll have a 70-30 crowd advantage. My wife went to UGA and I root for them, but they haven't won the national title since Hershall Walker. They sit at the last seat of the honorary Big-6.

Florida is in. Period.

I was mentioning Florida as Big 3, and recent history. I've never considered not including them in the Big 6.

Probably got a little confusing because this most recent post did not reference all the tidbits I put in the first one.

So it's decided, UGA gets kicked out first. They don't have a winning record against any of the Big 6 since 1950 anyways.

LINK

That link's from June of 2012.

If you use the numbers in the link as a starting point and include the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Georgia now has a winning record against one of the big 6.

Looked it up, he's right. They beat LSU so now they're 10-9-1 against them.

There's only been football talk in here but I thought big 6 was the three major sports?

The last team outside of the Big 6 to win it was Ole Miss in 1963.

This might not be true any more. Kentucky has long retroactively claimed the 1976 co-championship based off of a game forfeited by Mississippi State a couple of years later. The SEC apparently never gave them a trophy for it or even publicly acknowledged this claim, but several years ago the SEC media guide included '76 UK on the cumulative list of SEC title winners. It's likely a clerical error by some student intern born long after the controversy who didn't know any better, but, hey, it is now listed on the media guide. I guess if you claim something long enough, it becomes fact.

Only teams ranked number 1 in the College Football Playoff Poll can be in the big 6.
