I am a huge Bama fans but I have to say if Mizzou wins the SEC they should go over us. The SEC Champion goes period.

As far as Famous Jameis goes that situation is a travesty,if he were as innocent as FSU fans claim they should have already dropped this and I would say they are going to charge him.

Either team deserves to go imo so that is why I am hoping for MSU over the Suckeyes to assure it. Though the unlikely scenario of Duke and MSU winning (always liked Cut and Dantonio) then Its the SEC championship game winner vs Alabama in Pasadena. It's not going to happen but can you imagine the butthurt around the rest of the country if it did?

Could you imagine the butthurt in AUBURN? The greatest play in Aubie history the biggest win in JHS.....all rendered basically meaningless in a split second.

All we heard back in 2010 was 9-6,9-6 and all of a sudden it didn't mean squat. It was priceless.

Ironically if my scenario happened, then the case would be even better for us if Auburn is the SEC champ than Mizzou. Even though Mizzou is Top 5 as well, if its 1 loss AU, 1 loss Bama, and 1 loss FSU competing for the two spots (well Auburn wouldn't be competing) FSU would have lost later and Bama would have the better loss (Number 1 AU or Number 20 Duke).

But like I said unless several Bama fans pull off the meeting with Ole Scratch at a crossroads its not happening. I mean I am pretty sure there are several Bama fans who've already sold their soul for 2011 and 2012 to work out for the way they did.

Bull sh... Ohio St. has won or will have won 24 or 25 games in a row if they win against M.State. Fsu has earned it also. There is nothing sacrasant about the SEC.

Auburn has better wins than Mizzou.

This.

Auburn played the west (including Bama and LSU) while playing both UGA and Vols in the east. In addition they beat a PAC school in the year the PAC was doing well in the polls.

Vols and Cats had the tough schedules in the east but neither were good enough to win. Both had to play Bama and both played a Top 25 team for their OOC schedule. Cocks at least had the Clemson game and the UNC game looked better than a MAC school. Mizzou's big OOC game was Indiana who finished 5-7. Even if the Tigers were still playing KU the Jayhawks went 3-9 so that would not have helped either.

Best win for Mizzou is TAMU and they have dropped off at the end losing back to back games. Best win for Auburn is Bama and it was accomplished late in the season in front of a huge TV audience. Pollsters are lemmings by nature so Auburn will get the love.

I don't think there would be much "butthurt," to use your eloquent word (certainly not to the level of say a certain poster trying to besmirch Gus) but there is certainly question enough to debate it. Good news is duke isn't winning.

And I would never say winning the sec west/sec is meaningless.

Also I'm not a big bama historian but I don't think 9-6 was in 2010.

I said early Mizzou would be in Auburn's better position if they had beat Bama too. Want to add the SEC Title winner should get a spot in the BCS title game, even Mizzou. The SEC champ is battle tested like no other conference champ, that simple. That could change in time, but until an 1 loss or undefeated SEC Champ gets beat in a Title game situation. The SEC Champion should be able to defend this Historical run.

Mizzou deserves to go if they win. I think the case is slightly less compelling bc Mizzou won't have a win over Alabama, who many believe is still a championship caliber team.

I agree with this logic but regardless, if FSU and Ohio St. don't lose, there won't be a SEC team in the NCG. The only way to insure a shot is to not lose any game and even then it's not guaranteed; just ask 2004 Auburn.
