This holding off on "making a decision" until after this weekend is BS. If they were going to clear him, they should just say so. Likewise if they were going to charge him. They're either going to charge him and are holding off for the Heisman and ACC championship game, or they're going to weasel out of charing him and don't want the bad publicity before that game.

I think they know exactly what they're going to do. They just don't want to damage FSU at a critical time.

I don't know if it's so much an "Auburn deserves to go more than Missouri" when comparing alternate scenarios where each wins the game. I think, at least for me, it is just that the way the polls are working that Missouri does not have a chance to jump undefeated OSU. Auburn's chances of doing that are very slim and likely need a scenario where Auburn destroys Missouri (not sure ANY logical human being expects this) and OSU to win unconvincingly (much more likely).

Missouri's way of jumping undefeated OSU basically would be a 50+ margin of victory over Auburn with OSU winning 3-0 in the most boring punt-fest ever.

I don't think either of you do,

But Auburn will have beaten a #1 and a #4

You will have been a #3 and nothing

Mizzou's schedule is pretty week.

best team you've played is either UGa or A&M both 4 loss teams

You must mean best team we've beat is either UGA or A&M, because we've played another team that is pretty darn good.

Our strength of schedule is still significantly stronger than FSU's or Ohio State's.

Apparently now they are going to make a decision this week. Hopefully it's not made at 11:59 pm Saturday night. Honestly I think that if they were NOT going to charge him, they wouldn't have waited this long.

This is a little off-topic, but if Jameis is charged and FSU barely beats Duke with the offense looking terrible, is there a chance that undefeated FSU gets jumped in BCS rankings? Personally, I can see a scenario where Auburn or Missouri wins very convincingly with the stated FSU issues then the human voters go "shite, without JW, FSU doesn't have a chance to beat OSU or Auburn/Missouri" then drops them hardcore.

To be honest, I don't think very many people care enough about Missouri to have much of an opinion on the question.

FWIW if FSU and tOSU win out they deserve to be in the BCS NCG over either MU or Auburn.

However, if I were to look at MU's and Auburn's seasons to date I think MU is being sold short. This year they've been more consistently good than Auburn.

Florida is hurting your strength of schedule brah. Sad but true.

Part of Urban Meyers master plan IMO.

Yes, beating Alabama is a really big deal. Auburn has that on their resume.

Beating Auburn? Not as big a deal.

So beating the team who beat Alabama is not a big deal? okay......

Yes, but I've ready heard on ESPN radio today some talking heads saying if Mizzou wins then Bama should go. Bc they still think Bama is the best team.

I think either one gives FSU a better game than tOSU. I guess regardless of being undefeated, if I think someone else can play better, then I have to go with them. I don't particularly find tOSU's undefeated season more impressive than Mizzou's. I'd find Mizzou's one win over Auburn should they get it more impressive than anything tOSU did. If the beat MSU, that is pretty much their signature win this season.

Heismans won (2010 & 2012)
BSC Titles berths (2010, 2011, and maybe 2013)
Beating Bama these days means something

If Mizzou would've played Bama and won this week
They'd have gotten the same love Auburn is getting
It's nothing personal, just business

Of course, leaving the SEC myopic universe for a sec, you may recognize that while the schedule ain't grand, MSU if it beat OSU will have an impressive win on its resume, and most likely has the best defense in the country. OF course, there is also a pretty impressive OKlahoma State team sitting out there that has kept improving throughout the season and will have the opportunity to also finish with one loss.

There is simply no way that a 1-loss Bama team that won't even play for its conference title be given a chance in the MNC over other teams with the same record and are a conference champion. It is BS like that first mulligan a couple of years back that hold CFB back from being everything that it could be.

Only the Iron Bowl win. It won't matter this weekend though when Mizzou curbstomps your arse

So, suppose for a moment that Winston is suspended after this weekend and tOSU beats a Winstonless FSU team for the National Championship, with Missouri beating Auburn this weekend and UCF in the Sugar Bowl while Bama beats Clemson in the Orange Bowl. 3-way national championship?
