Maybe you should crow about arky money. I dont think they are buying this other thing.
For every action there is a reaction. The Aggies have now provided that and the branding to come along with it.
We now have 4 SEC teams selling the brand in Texas when we only had two previously.

In theory your recruiting in Texas should improve greatly in the next few years. We will see. You had me there until
Delusional Arky fans gonna flame with delusion. This has been well covered territory so don't bother with a rebuttal

P.S. Please take our Thanksgiving Day game and really piss off Texas some more. Arkansas fans would love to have a nationally televised game bigger than LSU at the end of the year. Please give us an even bigger game and our 3rd in Texas every other year.

It bothered you enough to type it therefore I'll reply.
Y'all don't know Texas like the Aggies and us. You think Texas is going to sit back and watch the Aggies build a bigger stadium and recruit better all while the LHN is failing.
Put a mouth in their ear and give them an option to show up the Aggies and play an SEC team. Arkansas will certainly accommodate or if they resume their rival with the Aggies, Arkansas still wins because we keep the LSU game.

Arkansas vs Arkansas State in the Meth Bowl for Thanksgiving weekend?
Posted on 5/26/13 at 12:49 am to SunHog
They won't even play that game they've had scheduled with you in September.

Why? Especially when you have the biggest college sports team in the nation sitting and watching their rival have success. We are simply providing a way to one up them while helping our own interests.

You honestly think before the Aggies joined the SEC, Texas had any reason at all to help Arkansas recruit the state of Texas?
Hmm.. what changed?

Arkansas could move inside Texas's borders and still be the weakest recruiting force in the SEC.
It's who you are.
It's who you are.

I seriously doubt Texas is and ever was afraid of you stealing their recruits. They'd rather dictate the terms. If you end up playing them it will be rotating between Austin and Dallas or it will every other year with no return game for you, like they do now.

Where did you even come up with this? No one even mentioned stealing Texas' recruits from them.
Arkansas doesn't care if it is in Dallas, Austin or Houston as that would put our 3rd game in Texas which is far more than any school in the SEC outside of Texas A&M.
I want y'all to spread the hell out of the SEC brand in Texas. I know y'all will with the little brother syndrome therefore it will benefit us.

can you imagine a nine game sec conference schedule in this scenario for arky?
SEC West + Texas + UGA + UF + another East team?
just brutal

It would literally be unreal as the fans would eat it up and the money would be stupid.
The one thing the Big10 has done correct... Replay, Tv Network and going to a 9 game schedule. I hope we follow in their footsteps yet again on the financial side.

I am also glad Missouri came over as they used to pull kids from Texas but now sit 315 miles north of Arkansas in the same conference and different division. Missouri should pull Illinois kids as they put more players into the NFL from their high school's than the state of Alabama.
Kige Missouri getting away from recruiting Texas and looking to Missouri, Illinois and Memphis more. In the Big 12 they'd play several Texas teams a year... in the SEC they may play zero. They just no longer have the same presence and they were never really getting the best players out of Texas to start with... they could get some of the best players out of at least Illinois/Missouri/Memphis
A&M coming to the SEC does help Arkansas recruit Texas but not nearly as much as it helps A&M recruit Texas.

If you cave to them and don't even get a home game in this fictional scenario that would put you on the same status level as TCU and Tech as far as scheduling. Make of that what you will.
Regardless, I agree you should be getting better players in Texas in the next few years if your new staff focuses on it

this is by far the oddest flame thread toward LSU i have seen

Ironically, Arkansas is actually a better fit for the Big 12....whether were talking football, tailgating, coeds, location in a shi*hole state...The Arkansas brand and the Big 12 brand are basically one in the same
Lucky for Arkansas, the SEC doesn't have an exit fee, and the Big 12 has not one, but TWO spots open...so this is a match made in heaven

Not possible, bc we're going to keep paying for the best recruits!

Arky is aTm light / aTm Jr. If Arky asks nicely aTm may make Arky an aTm satellite school.
