Me either. Honestly, we could all throw out random names and have about the same chance of getting it right. I personally think it will be Stoops. He is more realistic than the big time offensie gurus like Sumlin, Chip, Brian Kelly, Malzahn etc

it ain't gonna be a current sec coach ... it ain't gonna be bob stoops ... gators don't want him, imo ... bama's success with a 'home run hire' has everybody thinking they've got to have the same ... we got lucky with our/saban's situation ... the only hr hire i see is chip kelly, tho i just don't see him leaving the nfl given how successful he's been at philly thus far ... brian kelly isn't leaving the dame for the sec, either ... florida doesn't want to hear it, but mclewan would be a great hire ... he appreciates defense and hard-nosed football, but has an offensive mind ...

Doc Holliday was a dentist from Alabama, he is destined to join the Gumps. When it's time, momma will call.

Gundy is a good CEO and did a good job cleaning up the program after Les left.

He gets in trouble when he starts trying to mess with the offense. Our AD Holder made him hire Holgy after the 09 season when Gundy shite the bed the last 2 games of the season. It was the best thing that ever happened to him. Holgy's offense carried OSU in 10,11,12,13. Mike screwed up because he has a huge ego and wanted to show people he could win without Holgy's offense so he hired an OC from a DIII school instead of promoting our WR coach Meachum (current TCU OC). He also hired an oline coach who was coaching high school ball. Mike messes shite up when he starts getting involved and running people off like Wickline to UT.

Mike is a good coach and wouldn't be a bad hire. However, he hit the jackpot when he took over because he hit the facilities lottery when boone gave OSU $300 million to build new facilities and a stadium so he could recruit. He also got a walk-on Qb (weeden) who ended up being a 1st round pick. He is probably the worst qb manager of all time. He had Bobby Reid start a year over Zac Robinson, Alex Cate start over Weeden and hasn't been able to pick a QB to start the entire season since 2011. This year Walsh gets hurt in the 3rd game and instead of playing our true freshman he decides to keep his redshirt and play a shitty walk-on for the rest of the year with no back up. So what happens in the Texas game? ??? Kid gets hurt so now Gundy is burning the kids redshirt vs Baylor on the road and then OU on the road.

Bottom line is he is a good coach but much of the success that he has had should be shared with Boone Pickens.

Gundy is one of my heroes for ripping into the press that day. I really hope he doesn't go to UF and screw up his legacy.

I hear Zook can be had cheap.

Steve Spurrier is going to be enhanced by cybernetic implants designed by University of Florida scientists and come back to coach Florida for the next 50 years with near machine like precision. He will be paid in spare parts, free electricity, and the souls of Georgia fans.

The only flawless hire is Chip Kelly, the rest all have issues or baggage.

My top 3 (not including current SEC coaches) would be...

Patterson
Mora Jr.
Rich Rod

Don't want Stoops. He will bring his friends/family as assistants and I don't want UF to have to put up with that bullshite.

You could do a hell of a lot worse than Dabo, Gundy, or Mullen.

Stoops isn't going to Florida for any amount of money. He's got it easy in the big 12 making big bucks. Going to Florida means he has to recruit around the clock and play a much tougher schedule.

Discussion from LSU weekly radio show:

Mike Shannahan is the most readily available guy and UF wanted him in the past but they could not pry him out of NFL. He was former UF asst coach in the early 80s. Gators want somebody in by mid Dec which will be tough.

B. Stoops at this point has taken name out of contention.

D. Mullen not on Gators list.

RichRod not on Gators list.

Brian Kelly is best name out there that UF could make a run at.

Dabo Sweeney is an outlier if they get that far down the list.

There are a couple of guys out there that will not be available to even talk to for at least a few weeks such as Patterson and Briles.

"The SEC needs the gators to be good again". Sure, since bama only plays them every 6 yrs or so.
