It was their song originally. We ripped it off from them and changed it to Rammer Jammer, and made it a lot more badass.

This. A long time ago, the band director from Ole Miss went to Alabama brought the cheer with him.
To this day, when the drum major for Alabama's band signals to play the song he/she moves their arm in a circular "O" motion for "Ole Miss."
