It was Auburns decision to disconnect him at the time. The NCAA had nothing to do with that decision. I don't blame them for saying he wouldn't be there even if he was, who wants to see cecil newtons face in between every down on TV? It's cool though, next year he'll be good to go for all games.

This is what the AP was told: Athletics Director Jay Jacobs told the Associated Press before Monday's game that Cecil Newton would not attend and the decision was "mutually agreed upon."
