So Bama people saying they expect 5 more

on top of the 23 they already have. Considering they already have a full house not to mention more than a few greyshirts who were promised they could come in this semester, are they going to have to start ditching people again this year or will enough guys leave early?

That assumes all qualify and all sign in Feb. It will be interesting to see how it all works out but you can be sure, Saban has a plan.

According to UTK and AU fans the 28 limit only applies to the 28 that sign in Feb, thus greyshirts do not count. According to them. I am not sure.

let me break it down
28 includes all players coming in one year. Greyshirts do not count and are deferred to the next year. If you lose some of the prior year class, you can bring in some early enrollees but still cannot go above the 25 per year. Auburn lost 5 players and only had 20 in last year's class. We get to bring in 5 which brings the total to 25. (20+5=25). This has nothing to do with the current year. Petey Smith for example, did not count toward last year and is not an early enrollee either since Bama did not lose any and still has all 25 from last year. They will have to count to this year and Bama will not have any early enrollees.

AU is able to sign 25 in the 2010 class and 5 toward 2009 (since we only had 20 last year.)
The 5 for last year HAVE to be enrolled by Jan. of 2010 or they will count toward 2009.

Philip Sims, John Fulton (if he picks us)are just two off the top of my head that come in in January but will count against this years 25.
We have 23 commits and will take at least four more not counting the greyshirts. I wonder how we are going to make it work. Snicker

That's not correct.
Alabama signed 27 - 3 greyshirts = 24
I'm also pretty sure that Bama had a couple of those 24 guys back count to the year before. That would mean Bama has at least one spot to back count and maybe 3 spots.

Bama will have the number one class for the next five years running. That machine can't be stopped. Saban will have 3-4 NC's before this thing is said and done. Hell Bama may have 20 total before the Saban era ends.

That is my understanding as well but they will swear we are cheating when all of the greyshirts make along with us signing 28.

Bolton is not expected to be a member of the glass since failing to qualify early, so that makes it 22.
Either Belue or Blake Sims are possible non-qualifiers, so it could drop to 21.
3 didn't make it in(either greyshirt or JuCo) last season, so only 24 made it. So Bama can take advantage of the 4 spaces as backcounting.

you cannot go over 25 dumbfricks. if 24 made it in, you can only have one early enrollee. Do you Bama fans not know how to count. Use your fingers and toes.
