...whose name I cannot remember. I think he was a receiver? TE? He was built like a TE but I don't recall him in pass blocking. He actually looked pretty good out there. Has he been performing well all along and I just missed it in the Bama games I watched?

Richard Mullaney, slot WR. Clutch. Been a go to 3rd down possession receiver all year.

He's a great possession receiver.

Richard Mullaney. He's a slot receiver with a bigger body. He makes the touch catches over the middle. He also seems to be Coker's security blanket. In the early part of the season he was Coker's first look and most consistent receiver. He's been a HUGE asset for us this year, and I'd name him our biggest unsung hero.

Richard Mullaney. Wide receiver. He's been like Kevin Norwood 2.0 for us this season. The team gave him the nickname "Slotty Pippen" He has been an excellent addition to the team.

Excellent summary.

He's been pretty steady all year long. You just missed him.

Okay. Guess when you're overshadowed by players like Henry and Ridley, people miss your situational downs. I was pretty impressed with his ability to find space and get the ball. I can see why he'd be a 3rd down option.

Google tells me he's a senior. Is that a true senior (i.e. all eligibility used up) or does he still have a year thanks to the transfer time-out?

Yeah as someone said, he's a possession receiver, and damn good at it. Makes the big catches and has probably the surest hands on the team. Doesn't have the highlight reel catches like Ridley and Stewart, but if you need a first down, he is the best option.

Route running and hands: +++
Speed: Meh
Deep Threat: Nope

Norwood 2.0 is a good comparison.

He was a graduate transfer from Oregon State, so this is his final year.

This was his last year of eligibility. Going to have to find a new one in his mold, and I think it'll be Cam Sims next season.

No more eligibility. He graduated from Oregon State last year, and didn't have to sit out a year.

He's Vanilla Kevin Norwood. Wish we had him a full four years.

Thanks for the replies. Pity y'all are losing him, but it's good that he's turning heads and getting the attention of the ig'nant like me on the biggest stage of his career.
