Here is something to think about re: Mr. Ed and the reported title IX incidents.

1. A restraining order was issue against him long ago in Miami, and a second was required to keep him away from a certain woman who alleged continual abuse.

fast forward...

2. He advised a certain player whose girl friend claimed she was raped by a star player that..."everyone's girlfriend of a football player sleeps around..."

3. From every nook and cranny at LSU, suddenly there is smoke about unreported, uninvestigated title IX complaints... i.e. rapes.

Mr. Ed's attitude reputation toward women is clouded by the above incidents, and certainly not helped by certain other events and allegations in his past. Given that attitude, it is possible there may be some LOIC regarding IX directly traceable to Mr. Ed.

Kinda new to this whole story, but hushing up repeated rape allegations against Guice and a booster stealing money from a hospital to pay players is as bad as it gets. It’s worse than anything SMU ever did. As for Wade, college basketball is an absolute cesspool and what he did is kinda par for the course. I think LSU retaining him after the wiretap came out is bad though. Just goes to show their lack of integrity.

It’s all pretty dayum bad, and I don’t see how the NCAA can do anything other than drop the hammer.

Its complete bull shite how these punishments work.

ALLEGEDLY?

False, you got that story all fricked up.

quote:

He advised a certain player whose girl friend claimed she was raped by a star player that..."everyone's girlfriend of a football player sleeps around..."

There's no proof that O knew the girl was claiming to be raped. Guice was bragging in the locker room and making it sound like a consensual relationship, thus O thought the girl had cheated on Player X. Player X didnt even bother telling O what actually happened.

That isn't what actually happened.

In the first Guice allegation, the girl didnt cooperate and doesnt actually remember anything happening. In the second, the girl was having a lot of personal issues and her coach didnt believe her.

Funes wasn't stealing money from a hospital to pay players, he hired a player's dad as a contractor for the foundation as a way to receive kick backs. That continued on even after the player had left LSU. Technically, its a violation but wasn't really related to LSU at all.

Honestly, you can't claim that. A football player's parent got money from that. That's where a wannabe booster fricks up a program.

How many times have you heard of a player getting money from a booster and being required to give some of the money back to the booster?

If Les Miles was lining up Funes to pay the players and knew that Funes was requiring them to give some of the money back Miles should go to jail for being dumb.

I can 100% claim that because thats the truth.

Its still technically a violation and LSU will be punished for it even though it had nothing to do with them.

The NCAA needs to better define the term "booster," pretty much anyone on this board would be considered a booster which is just laughable.

Bama fans can't stand the fact that other universities win National Championships. It is quite funny.

I work with a bama fan that every time I go to his office all he does is spout BS. Well last year he didn't have a thing to say especially after LSU beat Bama. Then of course now he is making up for the last year.

LSU relax, remember ATPB was 10 years ago. Troy was going to take our place in the SEC, Auburn was going to lose accreditation, we had murder, theft from a Children’s fund and so much more. Auburn got a letter saying we were clean. Wish we could go back and read the Thread, it was gold.

Kinda reminds me of the Albert Means situation at Alabama. But the funneling from a kids charity makes it worse imo.

After about 5 minutes of reading about the Albert Means situation. I have concluded that this is no where near the OLOL situation.

Albert's coach was apparently shopping him around to colleges. Funes paid the parent of a player for a no show job when said player was a Sophomore at LSU. Then they had to give money back to Funes because you know money laundering and all that.
