Slow, methodical offenses are good if you have the talent of an LSU/Alabama. And even that is a bit of a stretch since Bama runs the spread and the hurry up when it suits them. LSU will try this year it sounds like (though I expect it to be shory lived since Cameron has no experience with it).
Anyone else is better if they run a fast-paced spread, assuming the coach of said team has a firm grasp of it.
In summary, Arkansas fuuuuuuuucked. They are going to try and beat Saban/Miles at their own game with a talent pool only capable of winning with the spread coached by a man who had no grasp of it.

There is a reason fast offenses haven't won anything of importance.

WHAT does that have to do with player safety and the point of this thread!?

I realize this thread is intended to flame but everyone understands this is about being able.to substitute packages in according to the offensive package on the field. Both coaches are doing exactly what they are paid to do and that is look for every strategic advantage possible. Why are y'all crying g about him crying, nothing will change.

Spread and/or hurry up offenses have played in 7 of the last 10 BCS title games and won 4 of them.
So in other words, you just made shite up and got called on it.

Spread doesn't mean fast.
Name the 4 winners if you would please.
I take your lack of response as admission of your error

I don't like HUNH cause I like defense personally. There's already so many rules that protect offensive players and makes it harder on defenses it'd be nice to see a change of some type to help defenses. I don't mind HUNH, but I don't wanna watch basketball either.
Also, I'd hate seeing good players have to sit on the sidelines cause they can't sub in or defenses faking injuries to get a sub. Maybe they could add some "sub timeouts" you could use like a short timeout for subbing but you only get so many so you have to use the wisely against HUNH defenses.

Because the jackass in T-Town will lobby the SEC office, which sits in his backyard and is staffed by alumni, to slow down ball placement. His argument is a complete farce but he will, at some point, force the game to slow down.

It was also funny seeing some (let me stress some) Alabama fans claim that it was a clean play, after always bashing Nick Fairley for slamming players down. Nick Fairley never slammed down anyone like that. That Mizzou player could've easily broken his neck if he was shifted just a little more medial.
I dont think there were too many Bama fans that defended that suplex by Fanning. Kid apologized and I think had to write a letter. End of story

Oh no! Not a letter!
Meanwhile, Trey Elston, from Ole Miss got suspended by the SEC office with no appeal possible for the Texas game.

They just want to make subs without making a timeout, you know, like football has been played for a hundred years, right?
