It cheapens the game by making rules everytime a coach doesn't like the way teams are playing. As far as saying something because Auburn runs it, I don't care who runs it. If it was causing players to be hurt that's one thing but to change it because a handful of coaches don't want to game plan against it is BS. Which is all this case is about. Saban wants to play a certain way and he thinks his style should get preference.

You see, that's why we are different. You're the type of guy to constantly bring up Auburn in Alabama recruiting and practice threads while everyone else tries to ignore you. You're the type of guy to name your fantasy football team after a guy your fanbase hates (unless you worship him like the lunatic Alabama fans). You're the type of guy that hates Auburn more than you love Alabama. If fact, you have so much Gump/Bammer in you, the majority of the Alabama fans on the Alabama board can't fricking stand you.

Internet talk = real life

Sounds like you're the one getting the most hot and bothered about it. Since you're stalking me, maybe I should go check out the bull shite you constantly spewed about Rashaan Evans on the recruiting board. Im sure it'll be a good read

What truth is supposed to hurt me here? I don't rag on Alabama unless it is called for, and I don't have to follow him around to hear what goes on here. Until yesterday, I had only lurked 25% of the time the last month. That lurking consisted of me reading Auburn recruiting and practice posts, while reading about Alabama's end (by good posters like Magilla, TideSaint, Trey, Sarc, Chadarstic and so forth) about once a week.

I can't help but laugh at your pitiful name choice, though. Your name sucked so bad it got changed by the admins as a joke on you.

Absolutely. Football is more mental than physical. Auburn is Alabama and Oregon's little bro now. Track meets in pads don't need to be televised

Yes, I'm furious. You can tell by my excessive use of exclamation marks.

And if you go back and read my posts regarding RaShaan Evans, there's a reason I passed along info about him a month and weeks in advance of Auburn writers on The Bunker and Bodda Getta. There's also reason why I passed along such good info on Racean Thomas, Earnest Robinson and Duke Williams.

You follow him around. It's ok, that's evident

I'm sure you value what Alabama posters have to say about Alabama. Nothing against those guys but they just post a bunch of shite everyone else can read on other sites.

Good burn bro. How many times have you been banned?

Hey whatever man. You came at me first with the 'everyone hates you' comments. Cool man. Im not here for friendships. Thats what real life is for. If you think you have some guru source who basically has sleep overs with the malzahn family then okedoke. I just know out of every time I have seen your name pop up in threads that we have in common, it is usually bull shite that turns out to be some other internet loser who makes shite up to get attention.

Don't bother checking because anyone who follows recruiting knows you have talked auburn up multiple times and there was no water to it. Its retarded dude. Anyone who wants to see it go look at the Rashaan Evans thread. Im sure there are some dandies on the auburn board, but I can't say I visit there because there is no point. Cant post there to converse.

Be sure to link that up. Other than the four players I mentioned, I bring all recruiting information from Auburn writers. Having said that, I think you are seriously off-base and grasping for straws because I have no fricking clue about what you're talking about.

Oh, and you might want to check out what I said about Brandon Kennedy WAY before he committed to Alabama (that info came from a coach in the Wetumpka area that coached players like Jamal Golden in the past).

Funny you say that when not being able to keep up with the HUNH is more about having problems knowing where to be and what to do than being in shape. Slow running teams is mostly physical.

Bama fans need to learn how dumb that term makes them sound. But I guess it makes you feel better after losing to them.

Too bad most fans like those games more than 7-3 slow games.

So you're advocating that the defense have to tell the offense when they can snap the ball?

Don't bring reason into this! If God wanted football to be fast he wouldn't have told Noah to huddle.

Slow down! Refs want to hit pause on up-tempo play

That is a pretty shitty analogy you used yourself
Not if it's supposed be about handicapping the offense because the defense can't keep up.

That's why your analogy is so shitty. Why does the offense get to decide?

My analogy actually was spot on...but you were too ignorant to realize that. FIBA did exactly the same thing several years ago...it used to be that, in international basketball, on dead balls after whistles in the backcourt, the referee did not have to put the ball in play. If the ball went out of bounds, the team who gained possession could run throw it in without the ref handling it. Then they changed the rules to make it like American basketball...and somehow the game has survived just fine.

Pity that you didn't know that.

Hope so. I don't care for high school tactics. Line up and see whos better not who can try to get a cheap play in before the D sets up.

I don't have time to read this entire thread especially if the quotes are as stupid as this one. I'm curious are you referring to the high school antics of that "cheap play maestro" Bill Belichik who likes to employ this exact tactic?

so, when the hunh coaches petitioned the ncaa to force refs to do things different and speed up how they manage the game, specifically to put the defense at a disadvantage, that wasnt them being crybabies was it.

It might be to our own detriment (the non-fast-paced teams). I agree it's cheap to hurry and go fast and not allow the defense to get ready, and I do realize auburn was damn close last year, but has a fast-pace-all-the-time offense ever won a national title?

In other words, is it possible fast-paced teams shoot themselves in the foot more often by the very nature of their overall pace strategy? (Turnovers, mistakes, not being as equipped to run a quarter or two of clock out, etc)....so, even though we (the non up tempo teams) think it's a good idea for officials to slow it down and let us play real football and get set, maybe the strategy itself is why those teams aren't consistently winning titles? Just a thought.
