No, mizzou, scar, georgia have all put up decent to great teams in that time. Tennessee is much better nowith as well. Its just an average CFB division now.

The ACC is the second best conference IMO.
Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, and possibly Miami are all legit.

Then explain this:
Georgia - fired coach last year
Missouri - missed bowl last year, new coach this year
Florida - fired coach a couple years ago
South Carolina - coach quit before he was fired, lost to citadel
Kentucky - coach on the hot seat
Vandy - coach on the hot seat

Bandwagon?? A Bama fan actually has the fricking nerve to call LSU fans bandwagon, that's comical lol really is. I've never seen so many new fans of a team since Bama has been the class of the ncaa....stfu and gtfo here with that BS bruh...

Many have been saying this for a long while. LSU being awful contributes to the conference losing it's prestige, but isn't the reason.
Damn, get over yourself.
This thread is a follow up to a similar thread asking if the conference was down. Other than 2 or 3 morons saying "oh, so LSU sucks, so the conference is down? RofLolmaogtfogfyotherinternetacronyms!!!", Pretty much everyone agrees that the SEC is no longer THE elite conference.

Which conference is better to you because of two weeks of games?
All of them look pretty equal

So one weeks worth of games and you've got enough data points to determine that? What exactly about the Big 12 looks equal to the SEC?

I've felt like the rise of Clemson and FSU has watered down the elite talent that otherwise would be at SEC schools. I mean those two schools are getting the creme of the crop in that part of the country and they slice right through the heart of the East. Their rise has coincided with the East's fall.
I still can't believe the shape Urban left Florida's program in after his episode. Doesn't make any sense for them to just fall off like they did talent-wise. I like what McElwain is doing there though. That side of the conference just needed some coaching turnover.

No. I have facts. I don't need you to be doing anything. Instead you ignore all evidence presented and go ad hominem. Please like... Don't be a full grown adult.

Who is many? What's a long while? That's your evidence? What about last bowl season when the SEC won more bowl games than any conference in history? Where were they?

It doesn't contribute any more than Auburn losing to Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl, and it arguably contributes less.

Lolz.

Again. Who is pretty much everyone? Where were they last bowl season when the SEC put on the most dominant performance in the history of any conference ever? Do you really think this is a good argument? "Pretty much everyone agrees?" Really? The Appeal to the Bandwagon? The weakest of all the bad arguments? The, "OMG LIKE EVERYONE IS SAYING IT!" argument?
The Book of Bad Arguments
I highly suggest you read this. You can order it online as well if you want a personal copy. Which, given how dumb the arguments you're making are, I'd highly recommend that as well.

I think the SEC still is the toughest league. Week in and week out no one plays the schedule we do. There really aren't any off games, and if you don't take every game seriously you will get beat.
With that being said, the ACC looks really stout this year, especially at the top. The B1G is also. However, neither of these two leagues have the strength in the middle like we do.
I think most SEC teams play a fairly tough schedule. Everyone has to play at least one P5 OOC game. Some of the teams in the east play two P5 OOC games. This makes the one FCS game ok, especially with FBS games like Appalachian State, La Tech, WKU, and UTSA on the schedules.
The SEC is just fine. The two ACC losses were from middle SEC teams against top ACC teams. MSU lost one they shouldn't have, but that's football.

So like... I don't know how you can say this.
Clemson beat Auburn by 6... and Troy by 6. UNC lost to Georgia. Those are the two returning division champs, and what have either of those teams showed you? Virginia Tech lost to Tennessee. Louisville has only played Charlotte out of conference, Georgia Tech has only played Mercer out of conference, Duke has only place NC Central out of conference, Miami has only played Florida Atlantic and Florida A&M out of conference.
The only ACC team that's looked impressive is FSU. And is that anywhere close to as impressive as Bama's looked? I really don't see how you can look to any evidence other than Pitt's 3 point win over Penn State. There literally aren't any other data points. We are just so trained to form opinions as soon as we can, but it's just not possible.
And I don't mean to call you out or anything, you're just the quote I responded to. so don't think I'm attacking you, fellow Ag. <333

No worries! It's a long seasons and that's why you play the games.
But re-read my post. No where do I say the ACC is the best conference. I said they are good at the top, then severely drop off. The SEC has Alabama, and a really stout middle. No other league has this.
But again, that's why we play the games. It all works out in the end.

Agreed.

I like how this guy makes broad sweeping assumptions about an entire league that he's basing off the fact that some teams "didn't win by enough" or "lost to Wisconsin."

I will say that if you believe UGA could win the championship of any conference after their showing against Nicholls last week then

even when the SEC is having a bad year it's still the best conference in the land.
