Except facts...It's been a staple of the Calipari era outside of one or two seasons. Kentucky gets all the hype in the world preseason, then struggles all year.
That has exactly 0.00000% to do with this team. Tell me why this Uk team will struggle this year.

And congrats on that 6 year hot streak of not making the NCAA Tournament, much less the almost two decades since you made it past the NCAA second round.

I do have to apologize up front that you can't hang any banners for beating UK during the regular season though.

Your program is now on par with Butler.

This may get my UK fan card revoked, but this is why the ridiculous support for the basketball program at UK gets under my skin.

If Virginia Commonwealth, Butler, Gonzaga and Wichita State can consistently field upper-level teams in a sport, what does it say about that sport?

Exhibit A in any argument that ends in a "wait until basketball season" from a UK fan.

The same reason it struggles every time. Too many leaders and not enough followers. Talent is never an issue on Kentucky. The ball tends to get sticky in their hands. Always has. Until Calipari starts hammering those divas about team play, it will always be an issue. I like how you are trying to say that results from last year, with many of the same players, don't matter. Yet we're somehow supposed to just take your word for it based on the fact that they're all tall. Your logic is full retard. Kinda like how you dismiss the fact that I threw your "Can't beat them in Lexington" point out the window with a game from EARLIER THIS YEAR. Again, with many of the same players. It's the most recent result between the two teams in question, why would it be any less relevant than straight up guessing? I'll tell you why, because it goes against the assumption you are trying to make based on nothing but hype.

And you still have nothing to show for it except an overall losing record to UK.

With this squad anything less than Sweet 16 will be considered underperforming.

But last year...............

Belle,

Drewbie is a "win the battle but lose the war" type guy. To me hanging a single win vs hanging another banner seems sorta sad. I would love for the Hogs to be good again but they are just a shell of their former self at this time.

Yeah those losses in 1958 still sting.

Congrats on being Kentucky. Can hand pick any recruit you want and still can't field a team that wins a shitty basketball conference with any consistency. Our program was down, sure. But the fact you can't beat us only shows the trend.

But last year...............
We were really thin at guard last year and really didn't even have one "true" PG. Our class this past year filled every hole we had and we lost next to nothing. Our guards are young, but it's the general consensus around here that it's Sweet 16 or bust.

So many excuses.

The reality is Nolan Richardson isn't walking through that door.

I don't see any SEC team within 20 of them.

UF will give them at least 2 very tough games.

To quote you in this thread.

Let's just see what happens before handing out titles.

Proclaiming Arkansas a Sweet 16 team after not making the tournament is more extreme than someone saying UK will win the national title after losing a close game in the final last year - and you jumped down their throats for that UK prediction.

Their second five are literally better than anyone's starters in the league. If they lose a game I'll be shocked.

This comment is as stupid as a 40-0 t-shirt.

I just want to remind you all that the NCAA is a guard game. I know KY had a ridiculous amount of talent. We shall see if they win it all or not.

Saying the expectation of the fanbase is entirely different than claiming that no one will stay within 20 points of the team all year.

And it isn't only about height. I seem to remember the twins are a bit slow.
I can't wait to see the Gators play.

It's going to be really hard to go 40-0 when the 3rd game of the year is a loss

What a disgraceful thread. You blue fricks still have a shot at a bowl game and you're already tossing the towel in.

That program doesn't deserve Stoops.
