Saban wanted Nutt to succeed him at LSU. Fredo Corleone is respected by Saban. Bama, never let this man pick his successor.

I remember hearing HDN's name being tossed around for the Nebraska job in 2003 and, even though I was 14, I remember thinking "why?"

Answer, because people in Nebraska's priorities are in order:
1. offense must be option based
2. coach must not have any objection to never developing a quarterback or passer
3. coach should know a bit about football and be a decent administrator, maybe
4. should have senatorial aspirations.

Then Mike Riley is not their man

2011 was crazy stacked. 1,2, and 3 were all SEC West. And to be honest, 3 was no where near 1 and 2

Riley is a good coach and did well at a small program in an area devoid of recruiting hotbeds. I think he could make it work in Nebraska.

2010. All but Ole Miss ranked in top 15. Even A&M finished ranked

That's pretty dumb including Texas A&M in years they weren't in the SEC.
I disagree with 2011. Best two teams in the country, but after that it was meh.
Arkansas fed off of the rest league being down and a weak OOC schedule.
They beat Troy by 10. Vandy by 3. Weak Texas A&M by 4. Ole Miss by 5. And they got stomped by Bama and LSU.
