At least 2-3 Hog fans looked at the list of teams 1-14 in the OP, and all of their initial reactions were about how they'd finish ahead of Auburn.

Since Auburn and Arky were essentially equals last year, I was just wondering why they all seemed to think they'd certainly be better this year considering their new QB, RB, and the fact the game would be played in Auburn this time.

Well we have a few that hate different schools. Some can't stand LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss or A&M. I don't think those posters are a fair representation of the fan base as a whole. Can't speak for them.

I have always said that after LSU, Bama and Ole Miss the west could be a mess. I don't think any order of teams would surprise me and there is no lock on those top 3 teams either.

I think Mississippi State will be better than most people think this year

Based on what? They lost their GOAT QB who started for 3 years, De'Runnya Wilson, and a shite ton off their defense. Looking at stats from last year it doesn't appear they have a RB worth a damn.

Didn't Auburn take Arky to 4 OT in Fayetteville last year? I can't imagine Auburn being any worse this year than they were last year.

If there wasn't a dimes difference between Auburn and Arkansas last season, why do all you Hogs seem to think you'll easily finish ahead of Auburn

Mainly because they hired Kevin Steele.

Also, that's bad logic. While that game went into overtime, Arkansas finished third in the West with a 5-3 conference record, while Auburn was last with a 2-6 record. We also got a lot better as the season went along while Auburn stayed mediocre for the entire season.

Besides, using one game, even if it was between the two teams, is a bad way of predicting how they'll finish next year.

And yes we do lose our QB and RB, but I also expect the defense to be a lot better, specifically the pass rush and pass defense.

I know I'm not supposed to say this, but I am exceedingly confident that A&M is going to finish higher than 6th in the West.

Al.com picked Bama? whoa shocker. Not sure how Auburn finishes 7 either.

You do realize this wasn't a list generated by AL.com? They ran the story, but the SID at each school ranked the order of finish?

Now that the first question has been addressed, the barn finishes 7th by going 1-7 with no one going 0-8.
