Not defensive, per se, just feel like this happening, while moronic and needless, isn't necessarily news. It happens every week at every campus (including Arky fans fighting Arky fans after Toledo game). I've seen fights between opposing fans - including sucker punches - at Athens, Auburn, Alabama, Baton Rogue, and Gainesville. I've not seen them in starkville or Oxford (have not been to games in other SEC towns).
Again, I'm not defensive over it happening. The guy (allegedly) is a moron who (allegedly) sucker punched a defenseless person and did so in front of 2 young girls (possibly his own children) over something as trivial as a football game. That is indefensible, therefore, I am not defensive of it.
My irritation is over what I, perhaps incorrectly, view as the motive behind the post; the chance to create a thread to say "another example of these bammers over-reacting to a loss" while implying it is unique to Bama.

The kid is from Tupelo and I know his family. He's hospitalized for getting knocked tf out after the game Saturday. That much is true
