ESPN Insider article, but the gist. They asked SEC and Big 12 coaches who they would want their kid to play for, have to exclude themselves.

1. Big Game Bob (5 votes)
2. Mark Dantonio (3)
2. David Shaw (3)
4. Hugh Freeze (2)
4. Pat Fitzgerald (2)

Everyone else on list only received one vote at best.

What 2 coaches love Hugh that much, I thought he was the debil???

Is that so they don't have to give them money anymore?

Worried about their players financial situations?

Only a moron would think those coaches every saw or heard of that question. coaches don't have time to breath but they'd waste their time with hypothetical nonsense? I'm sure.

Only one coach out of 24 would want their kid to play for Saban? Not buying that

Because most of their kids suck at football.

Saban is a winner, but he is also an a-hole. Their kids would risk being processed, so yeah 1 vote makes sense. I wonder if it came from Kirby?

Saban graduates his players at insanely high rates, churns out well spoken professionals for the most part and on top of all that sends tons of kids to the NFL. He creates structure for kids and teaches them how to be adults. Even the biggest Bammer hater would admit that.

If a parent doesn't want to send his kid somewhere because the boss/teacher/coach is a dick (who gets results), then they are pvssies and don't really care about their kid's future or behavior.

Saban churns out shitbags like anyone else. I have seen no evidence that he creates "better people" than any other coach.

I dunno about better "people", but creates people prepared to handle the real world that graduate with degrees and the best training money can buy.

We rank at or near the top of the league and NCAA every year in basically every academic measurement metric : grad rates, GSR, APR, etc.

No, he does not teach them to be adults. How do you explain Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy not to mention Rolando McClain? Trent can't stay on a team....and it had nothing to do with talent. Lacy is constantly in hot water with the Packers brass....this is because they lack DISCIPLINE.

Not really sure how Trent and Eddie Lacy factor in. They both struggled in different ways adapting to their careers. And Trent apparently just wasn't as good as people (most people) thought. Trent's situation at this point is completely because of talent. And have you seen pictures of Eddie Lacy lately?

Rolando is a crazy person. Everyone knew that from the time he was 16 in Decatur. Hell, the only person who has been able to get him to act semi-disciplined is Saban. Once he leaves Tuscaloosa he turns back into a grade A moron.

So, once again, we graduate kids at an insanely high rate and mostly send out guys who act right and do good things.
