Until Tenn actually proves themselves by winning the east, they shouldn't be ahead of Florida.

I think we win in BR, but it will be a good game as it usually is with them. If their new QB is up to the hype, could be really tough.

LSU was the #5 AP preseason team last year. Congrats.

VOLS beat them H2H. It isn't fair that UF gets to have a weaker permanent opponent from the west.

Dude, have you looked at the returning rosters? Auburn beat LSU up and down the field last year when LSU had 18 returning starters. It is one thing to be passionate about your team.. it is another to be just a homer ...

LSU 2017, has big holes to fill all over the field especially QB (?), OL, DL and LB, and with 5 SEC road games.. but I suppose there is a chance ...

Same goes for Georgia. Florida should be ahead until proven otherwise.

Thanks. LSU was preseason #2 in 2007.

Bama number 1 in a lot of polls, they must have a strong team this year.

LSU could have zero starters returning and just because of their name be Top 5 preseason.

Or, LSU could have won it's bowl game by shutting down the Heisman trophy winner, be returning several starters on offense and defense including a couple of Heisman trophy candidates, and have just signed another great recruiting class.

Sports Illustrated poll isn't the AP poll. LSU will likely be 11-15 in the AP preseason poll.

Still too high.

This is a team that just changed coaches, has come off of three straight losing seasons, and just lost their leading rusher to the NFL. Not only that, but their recruiting class was outside the top 25.

Wow. Really? Total yardage was 388-338. First downs 18-14. Those numbers and losing by 5 at their place hardly qualifies as being "beaten up and down the field" but whatever you say bud.

Texas could finish the season below .500 for twenty consecutive seasons and still be ranked top 20. They are more of a media darling than even ND.
