This Chris Key dude is spilling the beans on the radio. I wouldn't be surprised if he fell down some stairs pretty soon

What I don't get is why Tide players thought they needed an edge-
The best team in the country and they still felt insecure?
I sure hope Nick is not making them cry like he did in the pros

And, this thread has been anchored. Sooooooooo, I'll give you the information the bst I can under these circumstances of suspicious editing since this is pretty big sports news breaking now:
Columnist and radio personality Kevin Scarbinsky promotes his radio show on Facebook. This is what he is saying about today's guest in several posts:
Chris Key on Smashmouth: Says LSU used the chips tech to beat Alabama in 2011 regular-season.
Chris Key on Smashmouth: Said he recorded the Jan 2012 meeting with Ala players w/o their knowledge to protect himself bc ...
Chris Key on Smashmouth: Ala players were not aware he was recording their Jan 2012 meeting on a pen camera.
Chris Key on Smashmouth: Every one of the Ala, Auburn, LSU athletes paid for the chips.
Chris Key on Smashmouth: After LSU 9, Ala 6, Key met with Ala players at Alex Watkins' house about chips technology.

ESPN getting in on it, tying LSU and Auburn into the story title as well

Doesn't SI and ESPN realize how much advertising they are giving this charlatan and his fraud products and BS company?
It should be noted these products are not illegal, they are just a bunch of useless snake oil but I'm not surprised dumb college kids would be conned by a slick pseudo-science presentation.
Sounds like all the schools named have been aware of this idiot and his bogus company for some time now and have done what they can to stop him.

Kids do silly things to win... especially if they could "get away with it." We're talking about people that just graduated highschool and THINK of themselves as adults. Yeah, great executive decision making there!
There's no way to avoid that type of thinking, but I agree it's reckless and foolish.

So players may have taken something that isnt against NCAA rules, and no one has failed a drug test.
Why is this a story?

20 players used steroids before the big game.
Someone's getting an asterisk and it won't be 2010 Auburn. The irony is too funny after all those posts in ATPB.

TUSCALOOSA | No University of Alabama players from its 2011 football team failed the NCAA-mandated test for performance-enhancing substances following the team's national championship win over LSU, Tidesports.com has learned.
A Sports Illustrated report that details a meeting that several Alabama players had with Sports With Alternatives to Steroids (SWATS) representative Christopher Key two nights before Alabama's national championship game appearance in New Orleans. Among SWATS' products is an oral spray purported to contain deer antler extract and a substance called IGF-1 (Insulin Growth Factor), which is banned by the NCAA.
A youtube.com video featuring former UA linebacker Alex Watkins endorsing the product after his eligibility had been exhausted indicated that Watkins and other players had tried SWATS products, including the spray, earlier that season. Watkins also said players used SWATS' adhesive hologram chips in the national title game.
Despite the presence of IGF-1, Key told Tidesports.com it is not possible for athletes to test positive for performance-enhancing drugs with a SWATS product.

My 1st post in this thread....
Why do people give a shite? Bama looked beatable on a couple of occasions this year and were beat once. I guess I just don't feel getting my jimmies rustled over something like this.
