It was nice to watch my team play without trying to find them on a Saturday or resort to streaming.

I get that part of it if your team isn't easily accessible. For me though I'd have to take off thursday and friday which I'd rather not do, plus Thursdays undoubtedly have a stigma about them. To me there's just somethign about fall saturdays.

I've always kind of liked Georgia, especially back when they were relevant, circa 1980. But, I've never understood some of the crap your fans throw out there.

This is one thing about the SEC I cannot understand

What I the world is wrong with Thursday night games? Virginia Tech did them and they've been better than Georgia over the last 20 years

True, we will never live down our 5-5 record with Auburn over the last decade.

sucks cause most of our fans have to travel to the game... which means everyone arrives at the same time which means heavy traffic and waitin in car longer and no tailgating. just not the full experience i know mizzou fans don't understand this because mizzou fans gonna mizzou

Yeah this was back in 2008-09 so streaming options were limited. No ESPN3 for most games. I actually paid for the Bowling Green stream of the Troy game. Couldn't get the troy stream to work. These days we have it great.

As time moves forward, we are going to see many other CFB games played on a day besides Saturday. It is already happening, if you haven't noticed.

Thursday night CFB = 11:30 AM JP time slot

Both were made for AU football, with the lucious Beth Mowins in the booth.

Arkansas should not stoop to that level.

Isn't this the game we scheduled because Michigan pussed out? I like the Thursday game set up for a cupcake like this. Gives us plenty of rest for TCU and I get the whole Labor day weekend to do something fun.

I actually like it for a couple of reasons.

1. First SEC game of the year. People may watch even if only for a couple of minutes.

2. Nine days to prepare for TCU, while they play on Saturday. Game is in Little Rock so we can get the traveling part out of the way early and get back to Fayetteville.

nice try but over the last 20 years it has been pretty back and forth... plus we don't play on thursday anymore...

i was poking fun at mizzou sorry if i offended... also i'm not 100% certain but pretty sure ESPN has a deal with the SEC for at least one thursday night game a year. I think it was rotating too. I remember us getting destroyed by LSU first game of the year with the whole world seeing it

I remember that game. Then State surprised everybody by having a good season and beating Saban

Since the season hasn't started yet, how dare you make fun of the Off-Season Champions!
