"File Not Found"

But worry you not, I've seen this shite many times. Let me guess.

You're talking about the NCAA administrative review panel, upon which Wright served following the infractions committee.

When are you aggies ever going to learn?

quote:

Eligibility-restoration requests and infractions matters are not handled by the panel. NCAA legislation specifically excludes decisions of the NCAA Committee on Infractions and NCAA Eligibility Committee from the purview of the Administrative Review Panel.

In SEC Men's Basketball, LSU has the second most SEC titles at 11 after UK at 47! alabama is third at 8.

We should just shut Vandy and Kentucky down.

Why do the details matter?

Unless you are honestly trying to say that your school didn't play a huge role in the downfall of the Southwest conference and was a primary reason for losing 4 schools in the Big12?

You can talk about misconceptions all you want -- but the proof is in what has actually happened.

Because many of the details spewed forth by the aggrieved are lies.

To recap those "details": Texas forced everyone to take unequal revenue distribution (a lie), was solely responsible for no conference network (a lie), and was the only school that entertained offers from other conferences (a lie).

And seriously, I have no clue how the end of the Southwest Conference could be pinned on Texas.

The SEC put 12 teams in bowls this year and was a TD away from 13 out of 14. Just considering the football aspect, our system is working extremely well. Best not to frick with it.

How many teams are in the Big 12, now?

Well, since you asked, there's 10. Texas saved the Big 12 Conference.

You see, four teams gave up on it. Missouri left because it got spurned by the Big 10 when Nebraska took their spot (the Big 10 started all this), then Missouri, thinking the Big 12 would dissolve (as many did), went SEC.

A&M's athletics department needed the money badly, and was able to make arrangements to leave and latch onto the financial teat of the success of long-established SEC teams.

Colorado thought they'd get left out of Texas' move to the Pac-10, but jumped the gun. They were always more "California," anyway.

frick 'em all.

the team in the bowl gets an additional share of that bowl.
I seem to remember that being the case as well. The additional share covers the cost of attending the bowl and that is why some teams actually lose money by going to a bowl.

Their value is as the sole private institution in the conference. Basically, they keep the conference from having to comply with all sorts of reporting requirements. They aren't ever going anywhere, and they will be paid handsomely for this one function they perform.

Can't Bama return all the money that we earn from Classics and tournament play in basketball?

The sharing of NCAA money is even more criminal when most schools don't care about basketball.

UF and UK should get to keep theirs.

In 2012, at trip to the final four netted $9.5M. Divide that by all the schools and the conference and that sucks.

The ACC and PAC 12 telling Texas to go frick themselves saved the Big 12 as did the PAC 12 telling Oklahoma "not without Texas".

I'm sorry, Bama didd not build the SEC on its own. Don't forget, Kentucky is one of the founding members of the conference.

Leave it to a bama fan to bring this up.The SEC is widely recognized as the best & strongest conference in the country & he wants to risk all that for what would amount to nickel & dimes? Any conference is only as strong as all of its members combined. So, now, let's break it down to the have & have nots. Sure, that's smart.Good lord.

UK earns the conference credits for every round they advance in the NCAAt. More SEC teams that make it and advance = more money for the conference. The SEC sucking in basketball outside of UK, Florida and Tennessee the last decade isn't helping any.

Is it time to look at how we distribute bowl payouts and let the schools that are bringing in more money keep more of it?

Absolutely not... we are not Texas.....The SEC is the greatest conference because of the equal distribution model.Anyone that thinks otherwise is short sighted from a business perspective. Bama is bringing home the bacon for the conference right now, but that could change at some point. The SEC teams are the Musketeers of college football... "all for one, one for all"
