Vandy helps bump up our conference academics, since the inbred gump dummies do nothing but bring that shite down.
Check the current NCAA academic rankings, dumbass.

Alabama would be worthless without the SEC, just remember that.

So is it fair teams like Vandy and Kentucky who bring nothing in get the same money as Alabama and Miss State?

No. The better solution is to shave off the non-productive schools if it truly becomes an issue. If we can really go team by team and identify some that don't produce, even over time, then that's the route I'd prefer.

Honestly the only really non-productive school is Vanderbilt, and they happen to be the only high end academic school in the conference. Others who don't regularly bring in big cash, MSU and Ole Miss, for example, are still credible opponents who bolster the success of bigger schools, and obviously landmass was a true player this season.

It doesn't compare. If other schools dont get a benefit academically, why do we have to share equally bowl payouts.

Considering Alabama built the SEC I think we will be fine.

Didn't Texas try something like this with the Big12?

Texas does not "try something" in the Big 12. They do whatever they want.

I'm not suggesting teams keep everything they bring in and teams that dont make bowls get nothing.

I just think the teams bringing in more should get to keep a higher percentage of the money they bring in that year.

You do realize that Alabama is the second winningest SEC team in basketball right?

Bama would be just fine....we could go the Notre Dame route if we had to....the rst of you scrubs would make a fine addition to Conference USA.

We kind of did too with that guaranteed money to us, OU, and tu for TV even if we were not picked by ABC & ESPN enough.

And that does what on the basketball end for revenue right now? Kentucky produces about $8 million after expenditures and was a cornerstone of the SEC Network going forward.

Is Notre Dame really what Bama wants to be in todays CFB financial climate? Seems like an ignorant statement to me.

Bama look at Texas, BYU or N.Dame for your model if you think you built anything on your own... yes you are the leader, but you are not the only reason the SEC was successful...

Maybe, maybe not. However, I'm pretty sure vandy's membership in the conference protects the SEC from FOIA requests.

Difference is the SEC wouldn't put up with the floundering bullshite that the Big East and ACC does out of Notre Dame and would force them independent across the board. Good luck with that.
