If they decided to sit out a playoff game that would be career suicide so why would that 25 mil even matter?

Career suicide? Do you think Allen would not be drafted in the first round if he set out the playoffs? You think NFL general managers and owners care about that?

Not me I'd be smiling all the way to the bank. People we are talking about 20-plus million dollars guaranteed I don't think you understand y'all can't see past your own roll tide to see what 25 million dollars is in comparison to playing Washington

Are there any other LSU players besides LF that should sit out their upcoming bowl game?

Yes Jamal Adams should sit out and go pro. Tredarius White should sit out. Kendell Beckwith didn't already tear his ACL I would say he would need to sit out as well

You could probably bump a shite ton of threads of them bashing Clowney for taking plays off to preserve his NFL career.

I guarantee you Allen would never sit out a playoff game. They actually WANT to play for another championship...the culture in ttown is winning. I see your point but are they guaranteed to get a career ending injury or something?

I mean how stupid was LF for even suiting up this year at all. What a dumb arse...right?

Same with Beckwith's stupid arse.

Honestly, all elite players should just go to JC and not play major college football.
It's just a smart business decision. Too much risk.

And when they get to the NFL they should sit out the first 16 games and save their bodies for the playoff.

IMO I see a semi pro league coming. Give these guys more options than college. Baseball does it. Basketball basically does it. Its unfair to the football players that they have to go to college for nothing while other sports have multiple avenues.

Exactly! And in the case of Alabama you play three extra games a year that other schools dont. An SEC championship game and two playoff games. Over the course of a college career thats nine games, a whole other season basically.

Is every player in the NFL from BAMA? No
What do any of those kids owe BAMA? nothing
Would you go to work if you weren't getting paid? No and you'd be stupid to go.

Bottom line is there needs to be another avenue to the NFL for these players that involves a check.

NFL teams want to see players actually PLAY...especially in big games with a lot on the line.

You brought up Bama and the "extra" games.

Nothing but an education and some guidance to point them in a good direction.
I think you can ask any college player if they learned about life, and especially, learned football while in school.

I did go to college and actually paid for it. We are still talking about college kids...right?

Do you think that hasn't been tried?

Can you imagine the level of thuggery that would result from a league of 18 yo pro football players? It would be a fricking train wreck.
