Mike White is a alum and has proven he can coach.

I'm aware of all that but he would't be the 1st succesful lower level coach that failed at this level. Both of our former coaches list are full of guys just like him. I like White but he isn't a sure thing.

Maybe but acting like White will be a sure fire upgrade is pretty dumb imo.

Full disclosure: I used to know Andy when he was at UAB and played with my best friend from high school. I am an AK fan.

No. For one thing, WKU is a historically better program than a lot of power conference teams. For another, have you noticed all of the upsets happening around the country. A helluva lot of good roundball talent resides in the mid-majors. You could do a lot worse than have AK at the helm of the program.

They are not "upsets", several mid-majors do a good job at putting together solid teams who play as a team and are able to knock of squads with more individual talent.

That isn't what happened to OM, they melted down at home and blew a huge lead to a WKU team that isn't on the same level as the WKU teams of the past decade.

Still, it will be hard for OM to justify firing the most successful HC in their history.

I'm discussing teams winning when they were not favored to do so, so YES, that's called an upset. And Melt-down are not, the Rebs were upset at home yesterday.

If Mike was given this job I believe he would maintain if not exceed AK levels on avg. But we need to wait to see and what happens.

I think AK is pretty much locked to get a year in the new arena unless this season is a complete disaster.

You shouldn't fire him because of that game. You should fire him because he has always been a shitty coach.

I'd welcome him home at UAB. Haase isn't the answer. But, it's a moot point.
