Last year BYU had 9 wins, beat Miss St, and came within 4 points from beating West Virginia and UCLA.

Miss State had more passing yards, more rushing yards and more first downs and still gave it away. I honestly don't think BYU is going to beat MSU in Starkville this year and they are not going to beat LSU either.

All i heard last year was how LSU was going to dominate Wisconsin and win by three scores. I member that Wisconsin would be lucky to get on the board against LSU's defense and there was no way Wisconsin could stop the likely Heisman trophy winning running back.

Yet LSU lost

Will this year be the same?

In case you've been asleep since that game happened, a few things changed at LSU football.

You still have

crap WRs

Uh, what?

We are stacked with talent at WR. A handful of young 4-stars (Dillion, Davis, Sullivan, Anderson), plus a 5-star in Stevens, plus Chark who will be among the top receivers in the SEC this year and a perfect fit for Canada's offense (the WR sweep plays which he's been deadly on already).

mediocre OL

It was the #1 rated OL in the country by PFF last year, returns 3 of those guys

a sub average Qb

He's an average QB, but so was Nathan Peterman before Canada coached him

LSU will run BYU out of the stadium.

I definitely think they will as well.

I am sure BYU will play tough, but they really do not have the talent/athleticism to beat LSU.

If they do win, that will be on disastrous coaching on the part of LSU --- and I just do not see that happening in the first game.

BYU is typically a team full of 22-24 year olds since many take a mission. They'll be a mature team with a tune up game under their belt, LSU better bring their A game

Well put.

I would actually love to see the LSU and BYU tailgate. That seems like it will be hilariously awkward. I honestly can't think of two more opposite fanbases.

This is a game of good vs evil. In one corner you have the foul mouthed, tshirt ripper that challenges any player on the team to try and kick his arse and see what happens.

Im the other corner you have a coach that doesnt curse, drink, smoke or threaten to kick his playets asses. He did his 2 year mormon service and id a devout Mormon.

The evil doers is LSU of course and the good guys are BYU.

Wow so much retarded in one post!

Playing 25 year old guys with families that don't drink caffeine can produce the following: coaches on the field, high motor, cerebral, coachable, and disciplined team players.

LSU put on notice.

LSU wins by 17.

You know what's funny? Wisconsin did in the 1st quarter what took Alabama until the 4th quarter to do against Aranda's defense!

BYU's OT's are light. The last time we played light tackles like this was against Oregon. LSU's defensive line said Oregon's OT's looked like TE's when they were getting off the bus. They knew they were going to eat!

LSU should win this comfortably on paper but the truth is we have no idea how our offense will be right out the gate. BYU will also have one game under their belt so that's a big advantage for them. If Etling can make throws and keep BYU off balance it should be an easy win for LSU.

LSU will push BYU all over the field. It will be a blowout, no way BYU can handle a physical team like LSU. LSU should be worried about BYU as they should worry about any team they play, but no more than that.

I never thought I could say this with a straight face, but Auburn has replaced LSU as the worst posters on this forum. Impressive effort on their part.
