This has been a small topic on the radio the last few days. HOF Greg Cook & Fran Tarkington both said it was sound advice. Will LF start the trend of sitting out your JR year for the draft? If he continues how he's doing the rest of the year, what else does he need to prove?

I couldn't fault him if he did, would be a good business decision.

But it would suck if he was our player and I wouldn't want him to.

Why not just sit out starting next game?

I suggest you listen to Marshall Faulk.
quote:

"I'm telling you, sitting out, it takes a while to get you back into the speed of things," Faulk told The Dan Le Batard Show. "Just watch. Adrian Peterson, he sat out last year, he's going to have good game-bad game, good game-bad game. You saw him put the ball on the turf a couple times Sunday. You need the reps. I hope that LSU is smart about how they use him.

What I never understand about this question is LF could have just played in Canada and gotten paid somewhat well when he was 18. He obviously wanted to play college football.

I say this and I'm PRETTY sure there is no age restriction in the CFL.

Sounds like a good way to destroy college football if this does become a trend. He's playing though, sorry.

I must be missing the joke. Most of the talk is Texans & Astros. It's just been talked about briefly without too much discussion.

He already tweeted about this and put it to bed.

"I'll never jump ship, I'll drown with my brothers" is what he tweeted IIRC.

how they were so dominant early in their college career they thought they were ready for the NFL. Ended up having to sit out a year to get drafted and they lasted what 2 or 3 years tops.

That is just your local sports talk. This is a big national discussion.

I mean this is great and all but people lie all the time. He's not going to say he wants to sit out next year outright in the early part of a season still even if he believes he wants to. I hope he plays at LSU cause he's one of those fun guys to watch that you have to watch
