No, a couple idiots maybe. There was no reason to think he wasn't injured. You could tell something wasn't right after his follow through. If you've seen some non contact injuries up close you can see that something isn't right. I hate ole miss but Patterson was not their problem. How many big passes did their receivers drop last night. Great athletes and competitors don't pretend to be hurt to get out of the game. It was non contact. it's not like we were teeing off on him.

Feel bad for the kid. What a freak injury that was. LSU got to him a few times but the play he got hurt seemed no one touched him.

Best wishes for a good recovery. Any idea how long a PCL recovery is?
While continuing to beat the dead horse, I really don't understand the rationale for putting him back in after halftime given that:
1) the backup looked good
2) Shea is vital to the rest of the season
3) with the way LSU was running the ball, the ole miss D wasn't going to be able to get stops.

Bama fans made fun of Mett having to crawl off the field. They still beat their chest about Quinton Dial's hit on Aaron Murray (which would definitely be called targeting in 2017). They repeatedly post gifs of Foster's big hit on Fournette, and they wish that hit would have knocked him out of the game.
