it seems as if all programs fan bases get spoiled and suck after a lot of success. non alumni fans especially consider their team as a pro fanchise. they are obviously disappointed with a sugar bowl appearance.

Good point. And im sure Bama fans can relate to this, if the Gators think they are down right now after losing the SECCG, come out and get beat by Cincy...then see how you feel about how you ended the year. Gators better be ready to roll, if they are, blowout city.

There will be more than the allotment, a lot of people aren't buying through the university. But there won't be 40,000 there, I just don't think there are enough people excited about driving 10 hours to see glorified consolation game New Year's Day.

That said, I plan I going

Having gone to Sugar Bowls on and off for 35 years, selling 12k tickets from an SEC team is disgraceful. AL, AU, GA, TN, AK....... all have brought 20 to 50k fans to the city. How many tix did Cincy sell?

There are plenty of economic reasons that Gator fans may not be making this trip. I, for one, will be there.

Unemployment in the state of Florida just topped 11.5%, higher than the national everage. Florida is in the top three states, if not at the top, for home forclosures. Inflation is just around the corner, and it's Christmas. Many people might not be willing to take the chance on spending $500.00-$1000.00 per person to go to the Sugar Bowl when they might need that money in the coming months for other things.

I look forward to visiting NOLA again, second time in less than three months. Keep the beer cold and the jambalaya hot for me!

Way to complain about economic problems to people from the five poorest states in the union.
