last game and final crying after a loss episode. What a spoiled bunch of cry babies. Never in recent history has the SEC team in the Sugar Bowl not sold out and brought at least 30k to New Orleans. Only 12k of 17k tix sold.

As far as fan support goes they are starting to remind me of the U.

The Superdome was fairly empty, by Sugar Bowl standards, at the 2001 Sugar Bowl between Florida and Miami.

Good luck replacing Tebow and your entire defense. UF 2010 = USC 2009. Oh and try to keep the guys that are on the team out of jail while your at it.

I lost alot of respect for Meyer after we beat them down there in 2008. In the post game press conference he barely, and I do mean barely, looked up from the podium and mumbled like a 5th grader who just got caught passing notes in class. I realize he's a fierce competitor and a great coach but true character is shown when things aren't going good. As much as I hate Saban for being a snake, atleast he handled the losses last year to UF and Utah like a man.

Meyer is an a-hole who NEVER congratulates the opposing team for whipping his arse - LSU, OM, AL -- all the same - cries and mumbles and blames his team with out crediting the victors. Shameful that Florida ( state with 20 million people) can sell 17k tix to New Orleans for New Year with an 11-1 team and defending national champs. I hope Cincy whips them.

I do like Meyer, and I'm probably in the minority, outside of Florida fans of course. However, it did bother me how he acted after losing to Alabama in 2005 and 2009.

The entire fanbase doesn't really know how to lose. That says something about how good theyve been for the past 4 or 5 years (in both major sports). This is a very spoiled fanbase, and when things don't go their way, they take on the attitude of their coach and QB, crybaby.

Bama had the same problem last year. Even Saban chastised the Bama Fans after the game for not being up for the game.

They're not buying tickets because the game is in Germany.

I know how the Gator fans feel. I was totally disinterested in football after the 2008 SECCG.

Have you ever thought that the way to push D-1 football closer to a playoff is to not sell tickets to the bowls?

It's a start.

I was there. There had to be better than 40,000. The Superdome seats 75,000? The only section with empty seats were the Utah sections.

Well its also a quicker drive for a lot of Alabama, it takes about the same time to drive from Tuscaloosa to New Orleans as it does to drive from Gainesville to Miami, and if it was there it would be a different story.

All of a sudden the mighty mighty Gator fanbase can't hit the interstate for 8 hours to watch thier team in a BCS bowl.

I was just surprised to see Florida fans aren't lining up to go. Even though Alabama was heading to the Sugar Bowl last year reluctantly, many fans were excited too. A lot of historical moments in Alabama history happened in the Superdome. The same could be said for Florida, who won their first national title there.
