SEC refs have had some terrible calls but I've never suspected that they were trying to hand the game over to a specific team.

Yes, they are.

And have been for a long time.

Yes and no, there can be some different procedural rules but nothing that really effects the play of the game

It could if those refs have no ties or love for teams they work games for and they call infractions equally on both sides instead of ignoring them. Just saying.

So is there not a legit answer to the OP's question?

I know it's asking a lot of the SEC Rant, but there has to be someone who reads this that has value to add other that gifs and attempts at insult

The obvious answer is the people that look out for the LSU's interests in the SEC Office are the biggest morons to ever get a job.
Meanwhile... all the other schools sit idly by while Bama has a free reign in whatever they want to do.

Well Bama did get favorable scheduling a few years ago

When we have a referee in the SEC do this after a TD.. that will be worthy of a thread.

What it would probably do is start the Alabama fans bitching on here!

I love seeing the biggest babies in the SEC "Gunmps" talk about LSU fans sensitivity of the SEC officiating.
We only hate one Tom Ritter and for a long hisotry of reasons. The Gumps have the SEC offices in Birmingham. The SEC offices are staffed by Gump Fans. The Gumps also have the biggest mouth piece running a show on the SEC channel. Finescum. Anyone that has lived in Birmingham for a number of years knows what Finescum is. He is not the voice of the SEC. His reason for being is Gumpville and his God Saban. Tell you what Gumps, lets move those offices to Baton Rouge or even new orleans. Staff it with Tiger fans. You will never hear another Tiger fan bitch about anything. But you will.

You are so precious.

Well me know Bama's would average 2-3 more holding calls per game as they do with OCC refs.

Seriously, if Bama loses to Georgia, and maybe another one and LSU is undefeated going into the game, they will protect LSU. There is a Bama bias and then the protect the shield or best chance to be in Natty game bias. The later has benefited LSU on occasion in my opinion.

Sadly, no.

But I have to admit, there were some interesting "ref" comments from the Bama posters during the Ole Miss - Bama game. Felt kind of LSUish.

Made me tear up.

Because then Alabama would lose some control over the refs, and we tell the NCAA what to do, so they leave the status quo.
So much truth.

OM would've won by three touchdowns were it not for Ritter & company keeping Bama in the game.

So I guess it must have been a mistake that he allowed Ole Miss that crazy td? If he was trying to keep the game in Bama's favor then he would have threw a flag and it would have been another blown call by SEC refs.

Anyone who doesn't think SEC refs are bad doesn't watch enough games. They are replacement level bad. Yes everyone blames the referees for every loss. But Shaw should be fired more for how bad his crews are than for being a Bama grad. Bama gets screwed on enough calls like everyone else. The other SEC fans just refuse to admit it because it is easier to point to all the calls they get.

Our officials are bad. Any fan base could point out four or five horrible calls that effected the game in a big way over the past few games.

In basketball, refs are independent contractors and do not work for a specific conference. Of course there are only 3 in a game.

With football having 7 officials the need for officials to be accustomed to working together becomes the issue. They become a team.
