Louisiana Tech will be coming off of a bye week - a nice weeks rest from preseason practice and the first two opening games.

Bye weeks are advantageous when they come early in the season. Waiting until week 5 or 6 is too long.

Bulldogs gonna be fresh.

Louisiana Tech has 3/4 of their starters back, equally veteran on both offense and defense.

LSU has the least starters back among all SEC teams, and are ranked 122nd in the nation in the category of returning starters.

That's gotta hurt.

The nation is very happy. Another great inner state rivalry has been revived.

LSU has been scared to play them.

Perhaps they can move it to Thanksgiving Day.
I can picture the whole family gathered around their TV's watching this great classic.

Yeah, I agree with you. LSU is probably shitting their pants as we speak while looking at the schedule. The mighty Bulldogs will give all LSU they can handle in a 42-7 blowout.

Can you blame us? We have this shitty Big 12 team that we annually kick the dog shite out of around thanksgiving.

Yes texag7... La Tech could win. Stranger things have happened. Just last year I thought aTm had a chance to beat LSU... but then i pissed myself laughing and got another drink.

remember that one time La Tech had their greatest season ever but didn't like the bowl game they were offered.. so they declined. then never got another invitation and their BEST TEAM EVER didn't get to play in a bowl game

I remember I was studying for finals in LSU's library when I got the news. It was such a nice stress reliever

Technically it wasn't their best team ever. They finished 9-3 and 3rd in the WAC. They owned the Southland back in the early 70s and even finished undefeated in 1972.

However..... It's still hilarious they thought they deserved a better bowl and got locked out b/c of their AD's hubris.
