However, I'm not sure we will play a better offense than WVU all year

I won't totally disagree with this. If, and that's a big IF, Bo Wallace shows up and plays like he is capable of, we are dangerous on offense.

I agree. The guy I replied to said that Memphis can't throw the ball. That's not the truth. Memphis couldn't throw against us because we have the best pass d in the country. They've had no trouble throwing on anyone else.

Before Bama shredded them they were one of the best in the SEC

Did you miss the game they played before y'all? They gave up 369 passing yards to UK

Ole Miss will not be able to score on good defenses.

Their defense, while good, will wear down as their offense continues to sputter against strong defensive teams.

They won't be able to outlast most SEC West teams with depth the way they did Memphis and Boise.

4-4 in conference, at best.

Probably a 9 win season after a bowl victory. Not bad at all, but not contenders.

Agree. It's been said before, but this is a USCe 2010 type game for us. If Bo goes all Stephen Garcia (which he has the talent to do), then we are in for a heckuva fight. If he plays like he has against us in the past and like he did last night, Ole Miss is going to have to find some turnovers to win.

They were hellbent on running it on us last night for some reason. It didn't matter how many times we destroyed them up front and tackled them for a loss, they kept running it right up the middle.

I'd say Florida's defense is at least close to your defense's level.

They looked really, really slow........which was interesting because I just figured that they must be fast.

When I heard them talk about Keiwone Malone as one of their fastest players I did a bit of a double take.

And if he turns the ball over, our defense can bail him out. This sets up a lot like the 2009 game. Can we get help for our D?

I could see this. Bama beat us 22-3 but only scored one touchdown. I remember they started 3 drives inside our redzone but didn't get touchdowns on any of them. If we had an offense worth a shite that season we could have beaten them. We certainly had the defense to do it.

I think both of our offenses are better than that season.

Our 2009 defense was great but that game marked the start of a miserable stretch of games for our offense. McElroy was incompetent against Ole Miss, USCe, Tennessee and the first half of the LSU game.

Ummm, no. We're absolutely among the top 5 defenses in the country. Y'all are going to have trouble with them.

WAY better. I really do think our defense is probably better than our 2009 defense though. Our secondary was suspect in 2009 from what I remember but this year it's one of our strengths. There's no telling what's going to happen. It could go in so many different directions.

They were trying to run at our weakness, but that defense with its back against the wall and the crowd behind them can stuff the run. Memphis did throw it 31 times for 13 completions, 81 yards, and an int.

Your memory is fuzzy. Secondary was weak in 08. Was our strength in 09. Lewis, Green, and Vaughn all played in the NFL.

Each team had more penalty yards than Memphis had offense.
