However, we have the best defensive backfield in the SEC. And its not close.

Bama's secondary was not that good last year.

LBs and DBs are supposed to be their defensive strength not D line. Although the D line should be fine as well.

Their season will depend on QB play, secondary improvement, and JC dlinemen playing well.

Our defensive line isn't resting on the shoulders of JC linemen.
Our secondary will be better. Are you just assuming/hoping that no one in our secondary got any better over the offseason?

Good enough to finish as one of the best in the SEC and the nation, statistically. So we were kind of good...

While this is true, they didn't perform up to par in key games (LSU, South Carolina, and Auburn).

Plus, key members of that secondary, namely both corners, were suspect last year against good WRs (Alshon, Rueben, and Zachary).

You had better hope they have improved. I, like Saban, remain skeptical. Experience getting burned isn't the type of experience that necessarily helps.

LSU's secondary, on the other hand, is full of guys who have either proved themselves or have surprised everybody with their play.

So Bama's secondary is mostly hype at this point, while LSU's is underrated.

I believe Dial and Williams are expected to be big contributors on the line.

So arky vlues a meaningless position in their division over a national rank that people pay attention to nd which helps recruiting?

I'm sure a lot of recruits are saying "holy shite! Bama finished at number 10, but Arkansas finished at number 11...what are we thinking considering ANY school besides Bama."

Cheezit won a NC by going undefeated in his second season. In Saban's second season he had his arse handed to him by Utah. Must suck to have the second best coach in your own state. Maybe you guys will finish better than 10-3 this year.

I'm not expecting much playing time for Williams this year

Don't even talk about not finishing.

Your precious "best wr group in the nation" was absent from the sugar bowl.

More dropped balls in that game than in Julio's entire career at Bama

EDIT: and don't even get me started on how much of a dipshit that kid was for not doing a simple scoop and score to win the game.

that front 7 can't play offense too

as thin as the RB's are, if AJ struggles they'll lose 3 to 4 games

you hate bama too much to admit they're the obvious favorites.

they are obviously ONE OF THE FAVORITES but mostly bama fans and many media outlines are the ones that have made them THEIR PRESEASON FAVORITE. pre season favorites are a joke the vast majority of the time. yes that means when LSU is favored to win it all too like some media have forecasted this year. it is a joke; we think we have the guys to do it and y'all think you have the guys to do it but when you come down to it we are biased as hell.

Well somebody's gotta have the guys to do it so what else are we supposed to think?

To be fair our best WR wasn't playing in the Sugar Bowl. Childs is a substantial reason we are given that label.

Also, I was just trolling him back for the crap he was spewing...not intended to be an anti-Bama rant more of a wake up secfan123 rant...

Yeah, LSU's secondary really shined against Arky, UNC, and AU. See, I can play that game too. And why wouldn't they improve? Doesn't that typically happen, especially with Saban defenses? LSU lost their all world DB as well. I'm not worried one bit about our DBs, and I was really impressed with their play in their first year starting last year.
