I think everyone realizes TM7 isn't a top notch corner; that his skills are better suited near the LOS. And, that's the problem for Charis and TM7. With MC's loss to the draft, the HB's coverage responsibilities will increase. He wont be able to freelance or shoot the edge as much and there goes a good portion if his game.

What makes you think Chavis is dumb enough to do that? You do realize we have other corners that we've been recruiting, right?

Good point but much too concrete a statement it should read:

With MC's loss to the draft, if TM7 assumes those coverage responsibilities, he will be unable to freelance or shoot the edge as much, negating the portion if his game that makes him elite.

If you are convinced John Chavis is intent on forcing a round peg in a square hole

Oh look, another Auburn fig who hates that LSU is better than Auburn in every measurable capacity that matters.

R2R, you should try to read more of the thread before you jump to conclusions...

+1000

In the almost certain case that no one in Alabama is following the series, Game 1: LSU 10, Bama 2.
Game 2 starts at 6:30!!

Simply a by product of the culture, the majority of football related topics generated by the fan base of the Alabama schools have an flamish element no matter how well disguised with passive agressive politeness.

Here's the simple truth: TM7 is the type of player every coach and every fan wants on their team.

He isnt the most physically gifted player in terms of talent and size, but is a simply a "football player" that loves to play the game with raw emotion and loves to "hit"!!

He makes game changing plays on special teams (see Oregon, Arkansas, and Georgia games) and can make game altering plays on D (see WVU and KY games). Does he get burned in coverage? Sure, see BCS Title game.

People love him because he plays with heart, passion, and a true love of the game. We can overlook his flaws, because he puts everything he has on the line, every game, which inspires other teammates, for that he is much appreciated!

Case in point if I drive by McAdory High School and an Auburn alum mentions Bo Jackson, the Bammer in the car fires up his Andriod searching for you tubes of a Jackson fumble and/or grainy film of a Crimson Tide tailback taking it to the house in the 1492 Rose Bowl

LSU is loaded with high quality DB's. Luckily we have a soft schedule early before the schedule strengthens. Tharold Simon is to Mo Claiborne as to Mo Claiborne was to Patrick Peterson. Simon can flat out ball. He is actually more physically gifted than MC but he needs more experience. TM7 will keep doing his thing and won't be relegated to CB duties anytime soon unless we have injuries.

Independent of each other Alabama has knowledgable footbal fans but combined at a social setting they become insufferable making the gathering as pleasant as root canal

Exactly...when our recievers were basically standing on his shoulder pads while going for the ball it got hard for him to keep that swagger.

It the kid keeps making plays the way he has in his first two years how can we not be excited.
If Jalen Collins and David Jenkins are as good as we've heard they might be, TM7 will be free to do what he does best and his production should continue.
