Based on what exactly? Their 100m times are virtually the same, and Chubb is a stronger human being on a more compact frame. They're both awesome, but Chubb is the prototype back

Most reasonable way to settle this is look at who was better against daddy Bama.

1. LSU plays in the west
2. Teams key in on Fournette because we cant throw

Ask LF himself who is better

Strength: push
Speed: Chubb
Vision: Chubb
Receiving: Chubb

Chubb hands down

You like that?

In all seriousness, both are elite and I respect LF showing Nick love during this difficult time for him.

"Total yards" might turn the needle with the media types who lack the ability to analyze stats on a deeper level, but I would rather not stoop to their level. I guess homers who argue otherwise get a pass for being homers.

I certainly agree that per carry >>> total yards and also that Chubb was significantly better in 2014. As to who is better overall, I don't think anyone can really answer that. Hypothetically, if they could both play against the same team every week, to get a "true" statistical comparison, they would still each have games where they outperformed the other and games where they did not perform to expectations. Both are awesome =)

Chubb is coming off a devastating injury. I would say Fournette at LEAST until Chubb shows he is healthy. I can't imagine anybody saying otherwise.

This is incorrect unless you aren't counting the UT game from 2015.

If it were me, I wouldn't count it, since he got one carry before being injured.

However, I take this thread and question to mean right now. And right now we don't know how Chubb is going to come back physically and/or mentally. Until Chubb shows he has recovered fully in both areas you have to go with Fournette.

I think they should do this. LSU can play the team fist, then Georgia will take them on.

How do we count the games where LF didn't play either the entire 4th quarter or more than half? Asking Auburn fans specifically.

You realize that Chubb didn't play every minute of every game, right?
They had a very similar number of carries in 2014.

AGAIN...repeating what many other UGA fans and many other LSU fans have already said in this thread....they are both great backs. Period. I can't comprehend why this subject has to come up at least once a week.
