Here we go again. It isn't moving, and if it did, New Orleans would be the city.

According to a Mizzou fan on here, their fan base travels in droves. I expect 20,000 Mizzou fans invading the ATL and burning the shite to the ground….*allegedly

If Nashville had a dome, maybe. I don't think the league wants games like they had in Birmingham where it just looked miserable due to the weather. I think the league prefers a guaranteed atmosphere, as do many fans.

Football should be played outside, the elements are part of the game.

Also, no one remembers the ice storm a few days before last year's SECCG. So many highways were shut down from Missouri south or east bound. It forced a ton of Mizzou fans to sell their tickets to Auburn fans.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if Mizzou brings more due to those who couldn't get there last year.

There are some teams that will travel to all games. Bama fans being one but now when you have a championship game, 2 playoff games, one of which could be in Cali, this is gonna be an issue. I don't believe had Ole Miss or State repped, that a trip to Pasadena would sell out. The bad is the SECCG now takes a backseat. If you have money for posteseason, some people will hold off and buy the playoff game tix. I am on the automatic renewal for the SECCG but approx 50% of tickets are sold after the game matchup is announced. Make no mistake, the Dome will be filled by kickoff saturday. Mostly by Bama fans.

New Orleans would screw it up.

Yeah I had to leave work early and left Fayetteville at about 2 PM on Thursday. If I had waited until Friday morning like was planned, I wouldn't have made it. I raced the snow and ice through Memphis. It was bad. I know several people coming from St. Louis that couldn't make it because of the weather.

That's correct. The prospect of that one extra game has reduced the value of an SECCG ticket.

I'm receiving bids now at above face value (though not by much) but if I were a Bama fan I think I'd just take my chances walking around outside the Dome.

Based on what?
New Orleans is unexcelled at hosting such things.
