Tennessee and Arkansas being sandwiched around Vandy and Kentucky is really bizarre to see.

Our coaches in that timeframe have been John L Smith and Bert Bielema.

Not really all that surprising.

Not sure if this doesn't include the 2017 season, or if it leaves off SEC title games and was from last week. But Alabama is 44-4 in the SEC since the beginning of the 2012 season.

Neither situation would change the math on the Vols' 15 wins over that time span

West has 24 more wins over

UGA and UF are over all schools in the West not named Bama.

Don't hitch your wagon.

You do realize if Bama was in the East - That would add probably 10 wins to the East and subtract 10 wins from the west and make the sides almost identical. Also if you count the fact that Bama would probably have won the conference every season then the East would have more wins counting the championship games.

You can beat your chest all you want, but this league is Bama and the bunch.

That's unbelievably dumb. First, who are you giving the West? Or is your point that the East plus the West's best team is about the same as the West minus the West's best team? If that's your point, the you're just restating how much better the West is.

Second, even that point fails, since if Bama was in the East everybody in the East would have to play them every year, resulting in more losses for those teams.

So basically LSU and A&M are the same except A&M always loses to LSU. Got it.

For any of you who may be math challenged. A 24 WIN difference is NOT a 24 GAME difference!
It is a 12 GAMES. The west has won 12 more games.

12 games over 5 seasons. 2 per year.

While the West may be "better" ....it ain't a big deal. It is still SEC football.

Also missing in this stat is an actual west vs east win breakdown, which may sway things even more in the wests favor...
I am sure one of you has it ready to post...
this east v west will likely even out in the next 4 or 5 years....

Then why is the East vs West record outside of Bama still heavily lopsided?

Only 8 of these have been against teams not named Vanderbilt or Kentucky.

Arkansas is embarrassing

I heard this on radio. Why is Arkansas a bad athletic program? They Walton money and Jerry Jones money. Arkansas doesn't compete with a in-state rival for recruiting. It doesn't make any sense why they aren't a better program.

Not as embarrassing as the one with less wins.
