Marshall split our defense pretty good in the second half last year...

My choice this year is Auburn. I think the schedule lays out for them this year. Bama will be there obviously.

LSU and Arkansas both fall into the dangerous but missing something category. Depth for us. Non-rancid QB play for LSU.

That having been said... the Aggies will eventually put something together with their staff. MSU and Ole Miss aren't the whipping boys everyone is used too.

Basically anyone can beat, or lose, to anyone.

Replace LSU with A&M and you've got yourself a deal

And they stopped running him soon after. The read option became less of an option play as the season progressed.

A&M was beaten 59-0 by Bama last year and they are now a dark horse this year? GTFO

Johnny Football is not coming out of the tunnel to lead A&M to another SEC West third place finish.

Arkansas is a good dark horse.

Alabama then Auburn as the top two.

LSU and Ole Miss are next.

Marshall didn't run the ball like he did in 2013. Word out of Auburn all year was Johnson was the better QB, but Gus remained loyal to Marshall because he did not want to split the team.

You don't have a very cohesive group of players then.

Tyler Watts agrees with your comments.

Absolutely no way A&M finishes lower than fourth in the west.
It's gonna be a fun year and it seems to be relatively wide open for who goes to Atlanta, with a couple clear favorites (Aub and Bama)... however, we've held our own without an entire facet of the game and an offensive philosophy that isn't conducive to SEC success.
We addressed both those needs, how did everyone else's off-season go?

I'll take my downvotes (cause god forbid someone think optimistically about their team on this forum), but I look forward to posting weekly about the amount of wrong people on this board.

1) Aub
2a) Bama
2b) LSU
3) Ags

frick the state of Mississippi, y'all are in for an incredibly long year.
frick a team who has TWO SEC wins under their current head coach and expects more in the toughest division in football.
Lastly, frick people who think discussion is circle-jerking the same repeated opinions and comments as if that validates them.

It's the off-season bros, have fun proving me wrong.
See y'all in August.

That team that stomped a mud hole in your asses in front of 110k folks in mid-October? Remember them?

They return 17 starters. Heads up.

I'd say the top contenders in the West are the old breed, of course. However, a case for each team to win the West can be reasonably made.

I was at that game.
Who was our QB?
Where is he now?
Tell me how the team is remotely similar, in terms of philosophy, personnel, and coaching.

TIA

That's cute to blame the entire loss on the QB.

You're gonna need some semblance of a defense to win the West and Chavis will need a couple of seasons to implement his system.

Also, as I've told some of your Aggie brethren, a QB isn't a necessity to win the West, bro. I'd definitely prefer having a great QB, but a strong defense and punishing OL is the key to wins in this division.

My last sentence does not put the entire loss on him.

Sorry my opinion upset you to the point of putting thoughts in my head that I don't feel.

But congrats on beating a team by two touchdowns with all the problems I had previously addressed.
I'm sure that will get you guys to Atlanta, you're right.

Also, what thoughts are you referencing? You sound a little neurotic, mayne. Go pour yourself a Sunday afternoon cold one and relax.

My Jimmies are rather calm and un-rustled.

Just defending my position and didn't see how your reply related to it.

Glad your predictions had some sense though amigo.
