Nope. Actually Virginia Tech was winning the game in the 2009 opener going into the 4th quarter. Alabama won by 10 points...34-24.

Put your money on the Rebs to cover, and mississippi state to get their asses kicked.

I'm biased though.

Is Washington State bad? Because Auburn giving 15.5 seems like a lot in Malzahn's first game.

Colorado went 1-11 last season. Their win was over Wazzou.

But some think they'll be improved this season. We'll see I guess. That line is tough, I think we win by about that amount but not confident enough to take the over

I would parlay Vandy, LSU's over, WKU, the State under, and Bama. Straight Cash.

Damn. Vegas showing no love for VT at all.

Their best CB and best WR are both out for the game (injury and suspension, if memory serves)

Heck, they're being nice at 18.5. It could easily go 30.

LSU line has been out for a month and has only moved to 4.5, oddsmakers know what they are doing and they are sucking in people on LSU -4 or -4.5 like lambs to the slaughter.

When TCU covers books will come out big.

I generally live by "Bet numbers, not teams" and would normally wait til that line hit -3.

However, TCU has lost 3 projected starters in one week (one of which I believe was a Left Tackle). I MIGHT make an exception to my rule for this one.

ETA: Ole Miss has had all sorts of sunshine blown up their butt this offseason. Vandy isn't an absolute dumpster fire as most would immediately assume. Anytime you see a home team in college football GETTING points, there's probably value to be had there.

On 5dimes it opened around LSU(-7).

LVH and Golden Nugget in Vegas have it at -4.5 still

We all saw this happen last year with Stanford/USC. People saw USC -6 and thought it was too good to be true. All the money came on USC. But the line never moved to -7 or -7.5, it stayed put at 6 despite all the money coming on USC. That's because the books took a gamble thinking that Stanford would cover at +6 and the -6 was enough of a lure to keep enticing Joe Public to drop money on USC. If the line moved to 7 or 7.5 the public money would have stopped coming in.

This could backfire on the books but I know a trap line when I see it. Whoever said wait until it gets to LSU -3 is right.

I wouldn't think. TCU has a killer defense, and they get their QB back that was in rehab last year. Before he went into rehab their O was hitting on all cylanders. It'll be a tough, hard fought game. I'll be pulling for LSU to whup 'em, though.

I think Arkansas will win but it'll be a closer game than 10 points.

Stay away from Carolina, OM/Vandy, Arky, & UK. The lines are ugly. Think USC wins , but it will be less than 18, so a garbage TD could screw you.

Over unders are too risky in CFB, but great for NFL
