I think WCS and Portis are better.
Each are at or near 7' tall and are very athletic. Can score from anywhere on the floor. Portis can hit the 3 ball. WCS shoots at a 60% clip.
That's what I want in my big man. Tall, long, and athletic.
But that's me.

Mickey more than makes u pfor lack of being 6'10 or 7 feet by being the best athlete of the 3. Dude blocks nearly 4 shots a game.

Look, I've watched all 3 of them play.
WCS and Portis would be my building block for a team.
And no, Mickey is not a better athlete than the other two. Using his block average doesn't prove that either.
Have you actually watched WCS and Portis? One is 7' and the other is 6'11" and are athletic freaks. Portis is probably more complete, as you've got to guard him at the 3 point line. WCS is just an absolute freak of nature

And I'm not saying Mickey is bad, at all.
It's just my opinion on the other two.
I actually think WCS will win SEC POY, while I think Portis will be more deserving.

I love Mickey as much as every LSU fan but watching Portis play its hard to say he isnt the best player in the SEC

He's definitely deserving.

He is the best athlete of the 3, his leaping ability is insane, hence the blocked shots. Dude is maybe not even quite 6'8 and leads the nation in blocks (by a large margin).

Portis is only 6'10, not near a 7 footer. WCS is easily a legit 7 footer.
All 3 are great, and like I said saying you'd definitely take one of the over three is just asinine. All 3 are great players.

Huh? Mickey leads the nation in blocks.

Portis is 6'11" and still growing.
Again, I said its my opinion I'd start a team with WCS or Portis.

@ believing listed heights

I'd make the argument that WCS is one of the best on ball defenders in the country. That's definitely his best asset. With the platoons he just doesn't get to showcase the rest as often as others. And I think he's been bothered some by the ankle he injured last season as of late.
Okafor is a good choice. But at the same like I think someone like Kaminsky at Wisky is just as good and deserving.

Has nothing to do with what he is listed at. I've stood next to him.
In another year, he'll probably be 7'

He came in at 6'10" last year, he grew an inch and he's 6'11" now. He just turned 20 the other day, kid is still growing.

No, I'm 6'3" and have dealt with a lot of athletes at the UofA

He's LISTED at 6'11, which are always fudged a bit

Even if he was "only" 6'10, that's not close enough to 7 ft for you?

It's not a legit 7 footer, no. 7 feet tall is 7 feet, 6'10 is 2" shorter than that, big difference.

And he was LISTED at 6'10" last year. We didn't just add an inch to his height for the hell of it.
