Bama was the the 2nd team to play in the BCSNCG to not win their division and the 3rd to not win their conference.
LSU was the only team to lose a BCSNCG to a non conference winner and the only team to get shut out in a BCS game.

We ended up there because we were the second best team in the country (until that game.). Nobody else had any reason to be there, including Okie State.
