Post your school's debt here, if you're not too ashamed of it.

Mizzou: 700 million, 1.6 billion debt system wide.

I always assume that "debt" as listed by a public institution is simply accounting manipulation and justification for raising tuitions.

I found Mizzou's by googling. They also have a bond rating that lets you know if financial people think it's too high.

You assume incorrectly.

For the record, Alabama's total current and non-current liabilities are $1.98 billion. Auburn's are $1.65 billion.

Both increased substantially last year to recognize about $500 million each in RSA pension liabilities after implementing GASB 68.

Are you referring only to a specific type of debt? UM's financial statements for the most recent year show $3.2 billion in liabilities.

a couple years ago there was a graph posted, it may have just been athletic departments though. Bama was far ahead of everyone else in their debt load. Tennessee and LSU were up there at the top and I think the Mississippi schools were to due to their new facilities they had broken ground on building.

Arkansas is surely much higher now since we've begun a stadium expansion and I'm sure A&M's is pretty high from their recent Kyle Field makeover.
