I'm not sure why people get so high on Oregon every year. It really is the same story over and over again. They always run cupcakes off the field and struggle when they play a talented, physical team like Stanford.

If Oregon blows Stanford out this year, I'll be happy to heap praise on them as well. But until that happens, I don't see why this team is any different than the UO teams from 2009-2012.

#1 Alabama over #2 Oregon
#6 Georgia over #5 Stanford
#9 Texas A&M over #12 UCLA
#10 LSU over #15 Washington
#13 South Carolina over #23 Arizona State

A healthy Conner Shaw would smoke UCLA's defense. Davis would run wild on their D. Lets not forget about the Freak......Carolina would give A&M all they want.

Both Jake Matthews and Cedric Ogbuehi would make the 2013 version of Clowney their bitch. The 2012 version...not so much.

aTm vs UCLA
USC vs Arizona State

His stats really aren't all that different from last year. The problem is, as much attention as 'The Hit' got him, it is biting him in the arse now. Teams are preparing for him and him alone and they're really effective. Why are they effective? Because no one else on D is helping. The Dline has a good # of sacks but they haven't become the threat they were supposed to be to take attention away from Clowney. As for the LBs / CBs? They're getting lit up.

Quite frankly if A&M-SC played this year I think it would look a lot like the A&M-Arky game. Maybe we could keep better pace because of Davis and a healthy Shaw.

Bama... don't see them stopping Oregon's offense this year.

I think some people are quick to forget that Oregon dropped 52 in back to back years on very good Stanford teams in 2010 and 2011, as well as curb stomping #6 K State last year, and putting up 45 against #8 Wisconsin the year before. I think LSU and Alabama are the only teams with more top 10 wins over the last 3 years as Oregon, so it isn't like Oregon hasn't shown they can have success against good teams.

The biggest difference this year is they are just working with better players. Their recruiting rankings have been hovering around the lower teens the last few years, while they were more in the upper 20's in the years leading up to their NCG against Auburn.

I'd still take Alabama, but very close.

Depends on when the game is played.

Regular season game....Oregon wins

Nat Championship.....
1. with a month of saban preparation
Plus
2. a month off for Oregon to lose its offensive rhythm

Equals a win for Bama.

I'm going straight ticket SEC with the exception of Georgia-Stanford. I could see Georgia winning, but I think Stanford grinds it out and wins a close one.

Oregon-Alabama would be a rerun of the 2011 BCSCG all over again.

USCe, but Bama beats Oregon, Georgia beats Stanford, LSU beats Washington handily, USCe plays a tight game with UCLA, A&M beats ASU by around 10-12 points.

Easily Georgia.

Not being facetious either.

Stanford has proven they can dominate high powered offenses with their defensive line , Georgia can't stop a flea on defense.
