No it most certainly does not. McFadden was one of the best CFB players I have ever seen. Jones and Hillis were great players too (and still are in NFL).
It does however, mean that arky sucks by failing to win a single bowl (or championship) with some of the greatest players they could get, which is kind of the point of this thread.

Those teams were handicapped by Herring and Nutt. I've always wondered what could have been if they had played in an offense where the whole stadium didn't know the run was coming.

on the DR we actually had a thread for gathering funds to fly a banner at either GDay, gameday if its at UGA vs Boise, or for USCe. this was right after the liberty bowl so it was 100% serious

haha we had the same. GATA, dude is the biggest anti-richt man out there. we were talking actual details and about when and what the banner should say. it died down following "the dream team" but it was fun to think about.

The banners didn't get rid of Nutt, although I enjoyed seeing them. I hated that MFer.
It was crazier shite, like a big booster having beer thrown at him after we lost to KY at home with that same great backfield.

Nah, most of the crazier shite that we get credit for was just embarrassing shite that was found when a fan FOI'd HDN's cell records.
One guy did that, posted it to the internet, and then the feeding frenzy began in earnest.
Its a bitch when your dirty little secrets become common knowledge. Its worse when they're used to confirm suspicions that you are a shitty person. Its the worst when you're a mediocre SEC football coach with a restless fanbase.
I doubt Richt's phone records would reveal the treasure trove of information that HDN's did. Richt actually seems like a decent human being.
