Those numbers aren't right either. At least not for USC.

Actually, if you go by the last 5 years of who was ranked in the final polls taken AFTER the season (BCS poll stops before the bowls), you get a different picture:

Alabama 16-7
S. Carolina 15-9
LSU 12-11
Auburn 13-15
Texas A&M 8-16
Arkansas 7-18
Florida 7-18
Georgia 6-19
Missouri 5-16
Ole Miss 4-21
Tennessee 2-23
Kentucky 1-18
Miss. State 1-23
Vanderbilt 0-19

If they include 2008, then they are REALLY wrong.

You are measuring against the final BCS poll, right?

Why would you measure against the BCS poll when the final BCS poll is in December?

ESPN gets it wrong all the time. If these are 2008-2012, they are off by a mile.

I wouldn't. But that's what the information you gave was. "Final BCS Rankings". Those numbers reflect neither.

This was posted in mid-December. It was meant to be the record against final BCS teams from 2009-2013. It was not accurate when they put it up and now you can add this years bowl games to it, even though the rankings didn't change.

Why they choose the final BCS poll is anybody's guess.

The "article" was prior to this year's bowl games. It was not accurate then, as Alabama has 17 wins over final BCS ranked teams over the last 5 years. South Carolina was 10-11 prior to the bowls, 11-11 now. There are other errors. Go to the links I gave you if you want the correct information.

Ole Miss finished the season ranked, but were not ranked in the BCS poll.
